Tonight I made white skillet lasagna! I got the recipe from NY Times cooking. The filling is leeks, garlic, fresh thyme, smoked mozzarella and bechamel. Really good!

Not a fan of mole sauce but I can move it to the side.

It’s so much more than chocolate though! Sure it’s there, but the peppers and spices that are incorporated make it so good! I appreciate any place that makes it well!

Real deal Chilaquiles. Off menu. Half verde half roja. The guys at the mexican deli know I come for authentic Mexican. Got two beef empanadas as well. It is killer. $15 which is a bit high, but reasonable for the quality.

It’s from a good Mexican sit down restaurant/ I was nearby getting a car wash and had to have one… it’s very fancy mole sauce  and variety of cheeses / even Arsenio Hall would be impressed ( $1 for anyone who gets that 😛)

I was in Vegas for Wrestlemania this past weekend. I ate a lot of burgers. I didn’t take photos of most of them. But I did rank them based on taste vs cost. For the record none of them were bad.

    1. In n Out. I love In n Out. Fresh ingredients. Consistently good. Affordable. Double Double, fries and a shake? $12

    2. Gordon Ramsey’s Burger. I got the Truffle Burger and maybe it was the truffle butter, truffle cheese, and truffle aioli carrying the weight, or maybe it was that I hadn’t eaten since breakfast, but I thought it was really good. At $33 though? Well that’s Vegas, and at least it it was a good sized burger and came with fries. Still ranked #2.

    3. R Burgers. I literally stumbled into this place by chance. I was just walking in a random direction away from Allegiant Stadium after Wrestlemania night 2. I was trying to get away from the crowd so it would be easier to get an Uber. Spoiler? It wasn’t. Still had to wait a good 20 min. On the plus side, the burgers here were great. This place was cool because they seemed to serve burgers, breakfast and Mexican food. The burger was big, juicy, and came with avocado by default. A combo with fries and drink was $16.99. Solid. I also got a couple crispy beef tacos. When in Vegas, give this place a shot. No picture though.

    4. Steak and Shake - I got the Garlic Burger combo. It was a double. I guess I forgot how thin the patties were because at first I thought they made a mistake and only put one patty on there. I was wrong. Anyways, the garlic aioli was good, and I liked the beef tallow fries. It was a good nightcap after a day of drinking.

    5. Shake Shack - I got the smokestack burger? I think that’s what it was called. It was fine. I liked the spicy peppers on there, but at $12.99 for just the burger? It was just okay. This place gets a lot of hype and I can’t figure out why, as I find it to be totally average. Not bad though.
