Anyone here of the top of your head, who can list some films that has "fever dreams" or sequences that are shjot very nightmarish and fucked up. Like Fear and Loathing has an acid-sequence. From Hell I think has an absinth dream sequence, but barely remembers it. Scenes that are very fucked up in the look/use of the camera and lenses etc. Looking for references for a thing.
Wake In Fright (aka Outback) comes to mind though I haven’t watched it in 20 yrs or so.

Will check out Wake in Fright. Thanks for suggestions. I got some references from 90s music videos also.

^oh man! I LOVED this movie as a kid. In the woods in the middle of my neighborhood, someone carved out multiple berms and jumps out of the dirt and we spent our days catching air all summer. So much fun.

Not sure how the move is now. 😂

^ Now, this is why I like going into movies as blind as possible. Hadn't even watched a trailer.  And I was treated to Tarantino meets The People Under the Stairs meets Ready or Not.  Ready or Not mystery lore,  P.U.T.S. creepiness and atmosphere, and Tarantino's gore and excessive blood.

Jessie Buckley is a great actress and this was unsettlingly interesting.

Not my favorite opening sequence, but enjoyed it overall.

Need to watch Sirat. Loved Buckley, but I’m a big fan, so a bit biased.

I found it very entertaining.... It was marketed as a horror though, which it isn't. Rachel McAdams did a great job in it.
