I love a nice breakfast. I love going out and having someone ask me, " would you like more coffee". There is just something about someone else cooking me bacon and eggs that makes it better than if I cooked it at home.

    BUT

In the last 5 years? Now that bacon and eggs cost me $20, when I go out? I just can't justify going out for breakfast as often as I did in the past. Bacon and eggs shouldn't cost me the same as going out and getting a strip steak.
Increased restaurant costs are a big reason I like cooking at home. I feel like I can do basic breakfast just as well as most breakfast spots. I'm pretty happ0y with how the hash browns turned out. I did a thinner cut in the food processor

We rarely go out to eat as a family. It is 100% more for the time together with my soon to be gone daughter than the food. Everything we make at home tastes better and is better for you. Except my wife's pork katsu and Japanese fried chicken, which are definitely not good for you. Damn tasty though!

Edit: For breakfast potatoes I have always done cubes. Now it is 50-50 yukon golds and sweet potatoes. May be a jalapeno in there depending on what we have.
