If you’re ever in NYC let me know. There’s a very strong Greek community in my area and I can point you in the right direction for restaurants 🤙🏼

I wouldn't personally try Greek restaurants if you got to NYC.  ;)
There are so many other things to try - gotta figure you know good Greek food already.

I'm not the world's biggest NY fan but there is no doubting the powerhouse food options, city-wide.

I didn’t mean the food necessarily. Just the atmosphere, music, language. Stuff like that.

All cool, I actually imagine a lot of people from other countries would be interested in seeing what is active from their culture in other places
For me that would be less interesting than the shit I've never seen, but I'm odd like that.  ;)

If you never been to a place like Avra, you should. Great fish dishes. But it is not cheap. That whole fish or those gorgeous prawns will set you back $$$. But it is delicious. And a mistake to skip it.

I bet it is great....was just speaking to a visitor from Greece & my own perspective.

I will mark Avra on places to eat, thanks!

You are 100% right that it will not be the same as having grilled fish somewhere in Greece on an island. But it is still good! Just three times the price.

I love a nice breakfast. I love going out and having someone ask me, " would you like more coffee". There is just something about someone else cooking me bacon and eggs that makes it better than if I cooked it at home.

    BUT

In the last 5 years? Now that bacon and eggs cost me $20, when I go out? I just can't justify going out for breakfast as often as I did in the past. Bacon and eggs shouldn't cost me the same as going out and getting a strip steak.

Its funny you say that Speedy. I recently took my daughter to our local diner. We had coffee, omelettes, bacon, toasted bagels and home fries. The bill? $68. Before tip. Yeah not going back even though it was good.

Increased restaurant costs are a big reason I like cooking at home. I feel like I can do basic breakfast just as well as most breakfast spots. I'm pretty happ0y with how the hash browns turned out. I did a thinner cut in the food processor
