But I guess it is shocker that politicians lie. Get real. It has been happening for decades. Politicians get elected on false promises. They line their pockets and if it is mutually beneficial they may stay in office.

No actually I just think you see it more. It has always been dishonest. For decades. Trump is an easy target. But the same shit has been going on for decades.

But why would you not watch? That is the problem. Just hate the man but not hear what he has to say? It may be all rhetoric and political BS but why not watch and listen? Maybe 20% of what he says is true.
because most of us have better things to do with out finite time than to sit there and be lied to for two hours.

you can spend your time like that, but fuck no i will not.

But if you do not watch, then you should not criticize. Because that means you are relying on media. Which is biased. You are pre-judging without actually listening. So that weakens your credibility with any criticism you might have. Participate in the process instead of throwing blanket opinions.

All anyone has to do is read a transcript. It's not hard. Nobody should give any TV ratings to anything he does IMO, since they mean so much to him.

I might say watching the speech is more important. But if you actually read the entire transcript that works.

I really don't understand your perspective on this tyrant at all. You keep acting like he still represents something legitimate and something at least partially reasonable, which he doesn't. You are sincerely just telling everyone to act more normal in the face of a corrupt, fascist, racist, sexist piece of shit, and suggesting that if we don't we don't have a leg to stand on. It's bizarre.

I don't think anyone here is pretending there hasn't been dishonesty from past administrations nor that there have not been bad choices by them; all of them.

We all know what Clinton was (as smart, on-the-ball guy who was an absolute pig and sexual deviant) and you'll occasionally run across one of us referring to #44 as Obomber.

But this isn't a pass/fail test. Even if you think they've all failed, nobody has sold out his country and his people like Trump. That's the difference. If he lives long enough, he could legitimately start a third term. He's using the federal government to quiet descent.

"They're all bad" may be the truth, but it's not even close to the whole truth.

this is a really bad take on your part.

i can criticize whatever i want with the knowledge that i have. as far as my credibility goes, i don't care about that.

i participate in the process. but i will not watch that fat orange fuck lie to my face. you can do that if you want to. but not me.

I have said it before and will say it again. The comparisons to Hitler have no basis and are an insult. There are no mass murders, there are no SS death squads. Get a grip. If you cannot afford the time to listen, then you have no right to judge. Do not compare our President to foreign leaders. They live in different places. Again, I do not support what is happening, but it is just another political cycle.

you've got to be kidding me. this guy spouts the same lies each and every time he's in front of the microphone. It's all the same rally to him. SOTU or should I say STFU is a waste of anyone's time. We are so far beyond "you can't criticize if you don't listen" with this guy.

    no, it isn't.

Just because you are offended doesn't make you right. There have been many, many jewish historians that agree what trump is doing warrants the comparisons to what hitler did in the beginning. Again, no one is saying there has been mass genocide. No one has been saying there have been death camps. We're saying the fascist playbook is the same. The end result doesn't have to be for the comparisons to be valid.
