Zak Starkey new drummer? The Who are done and there was that time when he was booted but came back. Maybe talks had started as the band knew Matt was going to leave.

    My conspiracy theory
Wrong Beatle-adjacent drummer, but you're close!
    So it's Abe?
I've heard it twice, independently - but that could just be a wide game of Operator🤷‍♂️

I still want Dave Krusen, but would be satisfied if it's Abe. Hell of a drummer, and no stranger to long shows 🥁
Sir Paul’s drummer is awesome. When I saw him in November I remember thinking that he would be great with PJ.

Abraham Laboriel Jr would definitely bring back the 'Swing' that Jack Irons brought.  Someone said that exact world on some pj video.  He was spot on. The Swing with jack was incredible especially live

I know zero about Abe Laboriel and I'll spend some time on YouTube to see his work.

Im hoping the opposite.  I have always felt Jack made the catelogue all sound like the same beat.  Maybe its the swing that you describe. An example is SOLAT with Jack.  I really felt the beat was gone that Dave A created when Jack played it, and Matt was able to replicate the vibe a lot better. I would want to see a drummer who is more capable of representing the catelogue.

I mostly agree with this. The vibe that he created on the songs for the albums he played was excellent. But for other stuff, it sometimes felt a bit flattened.
you couldn't swing if you were hangin' from a palm tree in a hurricane

Solid build - I agree. No Code and Yield sound great.  Also I absolutely love him on Mirrorball.

Any Foo's fans here while we wait for PJ tour announcement?
I've got a tix for the last show on their tour in Vegas at the Allegiant stadium where I saw The Rolling Stones. New venue, got lucky with a hotel 10mins walk with Marriott points.

I had 'give way' on plus Hartford 1996. I absolutely love his drumming. But a Jack return is impossible so I hope Dave K gets the gig. But I also just want shows too so someone behind the kit please.
