Was just messaged by someone who just informed me a drummer has indeed already been selected. There was 1 drummer who was the frontrunner. I can say that Perkins was one of the candidates, but the main frontrunners name wasn’t a name thats been floated around yet.

I don’t know if i can share the name, so i will double check and if i can share, i will.

I did not attempt for any Japan presale tickets but it sounds like they sold out very quickly, given the smaller venues, that makes sense. I perhaps could have considered it with more than a days notice but the logistics were too much in a short turn around.

Short turnaround is a bit concerning. I'm generally on the ball with things, but if you missed that email the presale would have been done and dusted before you'd have caught up.

I like the timing of this though. Great to hear Ed is back on the road and it leave the rest of the year for more to come. Hopefully that includes an Ed solo tour in Europe in June.

If eddie can just ship his gear to Europe for 10 shows that would be amazing. He's kinda going back that way ish

Besides Stephen Perkins and Richard Stuverud, a possibility for a new drummer might be Brad Wilk, given the history between him and Eddie. But, it's just another random supposition amongst the many that have already been talked about.

He isn’t going the Europe way, but Hawaii would be on his path.

My guess was the kid from the Alive who drummed with them in Oakland. Can’t wait to finally find out!

As long as it's not anyone that goes to a show with a giant obstructing sign asking to jump on stage to play a song.

I'll say this with the risk of sounding like the cranky old man yelling at the clouds, but I can't stand when artists bring fans onstage to play the songs along with the band. It's even worse when it's the fan who is the one clamoring for it to happen. Sure, it's a great memory for that fan, but 99.99999% of the people in attendance are there to see the band play, not some 16 year-old that's been taking guitar lessons for 2 years.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

That was kind of the situation I was in at Wrigley Night 1 in 2024. It was a sweet gesture for Ed bring up the young woman to sing Won't Tell with him, but that was the one song I really wanted to hear off Dark Matter. Again, very sweet thing to do, and I'm sure it made her year. It's just I'm not sure if I'll ever hear Won't Tell again and I wanted a band only version with Ed singing. Oh well.

Now get off my lawn! :)
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

Agree 10000%.  Unless Ed wants to bring me up to play guitar on a song.   ;)

The lady who sang Won't Tell did do a great job though.  I'm sure the whole story of how that happened is on these boards somewhere, but I was wondering how she got up there for days after the show.
I've seen quite a few Pearl Jam shows.

Many fans also go to hear PJ tunes, not covers.

I kind of agree. HOWEVER, I was in Spokane in 2013 and saw some goofball get a 5-minute haircut on stage from Eddie and enjoyed every second of it.  So, I kind of feel like a hypocrite agreeing with you

I guess I won't say my lifelong dream is to sing with Ed on stage...
