    Besides Stephen Perkins and Richard Stuverud, a possibility for a new drummer might be Brad Wilk, given the history between him and Eddie. But, it's just another random supposition amongst the many that have already been talked about.

    Not too many people know about Indian Head.

    The interesting part is that there's obviously a big connection between Audioslave and Temple of the Dog, but, AFAIK, Rage and Pearl Jam have never shared the stage.

    Here's another interesting tidbit:

    1997 = no shows.
    2007 = The Vic
    2017 = Rock Hall
    2027 = Could this be the first time in the band's history they've ever played multiple shows in a year ending in seven?

    There were a few shows in 1997.

    In 2007 they toured Europe plus the two Chicago shows.

    I'm stupid. I was probably tired/busy/distracted when I pulled that from memory.

    The 96 and 98 tours obviously still get lots of attention. Looking back on it, I can definitely see why I'd overlook the 97 tour.

    Was it 2019 that was the first year when there were no Pearl Jam shows in the US? (If you count the Rock Hall as a "show" even though the official communications referred to it as an "appearance"?) I'm having a memory kick back in that it was a very long streak.

    In other news, I booked a hotel for the last weekend of September. It's about half an hour away from Dana Point but excellent price. I have enough time to change hotels if I see something closer.

    The best part? Enjoying a drink while everyone freaks out in September about "insane prices".

    The prices are insane the closed you get to Dana Point but I'm willing to commute half an hour. Especially for that price. And the hotel has excellent reviews too.
    Will worry about the details later.

    Booked a hotel back in October for the 24-28th in San Clemente, only $650 and me and a few friends will just Uber over since its only about 10 minutes away.

    As long as it's not anyone that goes to a show with a giant obstructing sign asking to jump on stage to play a song.
    I'll say this with the risk of sounding like the cranky old man yelling at the clouds, but I can't stand when artists bring fans onstage to play the songs along with the band. It's even worse when it's the fan who is the one clamoring for it to happen. Sure, it's a great memory for that fan, but 99.99999% of the people in attendance are there to see the band play, not some 16 year-old that's been taking guitar lessons for 2 years.

    Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

    Full agree! I also can’t stand when they bring guests on stage. Bronson Arroyo to play Black at Fenway in 2016 for example. Cannot stand it

    Zak Starkey new drummer? The Who are done and there was that time when he was booted but came back. Maybe talks had started as the band knew Matt was going to leave.

    I've heard it twice, independently - but that could just be a wide game of Operator🤷‍♂️

    I still want Dave Krusen, but would be satisfied if it's Abe. Hell of a drummer, and no stranger to long shows 🥁
