I believe it's just one of their facilities, not all.  The whole bourbon industry is recalibrating right now.  The tariffs have been a big problem as foreign countries aren't importing much, people aren't drinking as much and the backlog.  A few years ago every distillery was pumping out product to match demand of the then surging industry.  It's not right now for many reasons, and in the state of Kentucky, each distiller has to pay an annual tax on each barrel that just sits there.  There is an estimated 16 million barrels currently aging in Kentucky.  In the last year, some big boys in the industry have filed for bankruptcy and i expect that to continue as I also expect craft distilleries to take a huge hit and many bought out or completely disappear.
That said, while it sucks for them, I do think the consumer will ultimately benefit.  I think prices will come down as they will need to financially need to get barrels in bottles, allocated items will get easier to find (hell, Buffalo Trace products are just sitting on shelves now), and I think we might see more creative releases from the big distilleries....again, to get barrels in bottles and on shelves.
When Blantons finally goes below 100 like it should be I will rejoice and hopefully seek out a nice bottle of William LaRue Weller Antique COllection.
Imagine the day when BTAC is just sitting on a shelf at Total Wine.  hahaha.  THat would be freaking awesome!
Well it is t my place now.  At $1000+ for those bottles not everyone is buying.

    Also

These used to be able to get.

I keep hearing numbers that the younger generation is NOT drinking.  I need more Gen Xers and Boomers to throw their towels in so I can but the stuff cheaper, lol.

I wish that was the case around here!  Still nearly impossible to find any BT products unless you happen to go on the right day.  Or go to one of the asshole liquor stores that sells them for double the retail price.  But I'm more than happy picking up Russel's Reserve or Michter's whenever I want.

Yeah, don't ever pay the secondary gougers.  It just encourages them to keep at it.  I pretty much see EH Taylor SB at every store here in Phoenix.  Eagle Rare is sitting in a lot of stores, just not as common as the Taylor.

I'm in the same boat as @Indifference71. I can't find anything from BT anywhere around here. I'd love to add a bottle of Eagle Rare to my collection, but that's not happening unless I find a 4-leaf clover, rabbit's foot, and horseshoe all on the same day.

I went to a local store today with a friend and they had a pretty incredible selection. Lots of bottles that I never thought I would see in real life. I picked up a bottle of Elmer T. Lee and when the clerk rang it up, it was almost $320.00. I politely said "no thanks" and walked out. MSRP is between $40.00 and $60.00.

Eagle Rare is on the shelves here.  At $80 a bottle.  This used to be the best bang for your buck.  ! 10yo bourbon for under $50.

Yeah, that's insane.  The last few times I saw it on a shelf it was $49.  I might pay $80, one time, for the 12 year.  Anyone here have the opportunity to try the 12?  I've never seen one in the wild.

Dang! I only knew about the 10 and the 17. I find the 10 year locally from time to time but it is around $80.00 like mentioned above. Honestly, I think I would pay that. Eagle Rare is pretty damn delicious. I would pay $80.00 for ER before I would pay $150 for Blanton's or $320 for Elmer T..

I think Double is 2-3k and the 25 is pushing 10-15k.  When I win the lotto, I'll consider....lol

Yes, MSRP for Double is $2K and MSRP for 25 is $10K. No telling how much more they will be on the secondary market or stores that add upcharges.

Google AI just showed that the 25 was found on BlockBar for over $50K. That's insane....

$50K for a bottle of booze? Pretty sure I would need a psych eval if I were to pursue that. Pretty much anything over $100 is a pass for me. There are so many great bottles in the $40-$100 range that are readily available and don't come with a huge degree of guilt for buying.

I agree.  I once bought 4 bottles Of King Louis Cognac.  This was 20 years ago and they were confiscated goods that someone tried to smuggle in a country.  I knew the customs agents husband and they sell the confiscated goods. I paid $500 each.  Drank one, gave one away and still have 2 left.

Mind you this was when I had zero obligations and making a lot of money in a foreign country.  All i did was buy booze and eat nice food, lol.

I would NEVER do this today.

    I'll give you $200 for one! ;)
I'll admit that the volume of my whiskey purchases has gone significantly down over the last 1-2 years.  For a few reasons... I have a LOT, I don't drink much more than 1-2oz per week, and I refuse to pay secondary.  With that said, I have a good number of bottles that are waaaaay over $100.  I have no regret in buying them and I do love to pop them open on a special occasion.  I also love to share them when friends come over.  Nothing more fun that doing a whiskey tasting with people who might not know much about it, or those who may have never had the chance to taste a bottle (cost, hard to find, etc.)  If any of you are ever in Phoenix, hit me up!

I honestly wouldn't let one go for under a grand.  Those things are over 3k now!

Something else I bought when I was there was 25yo Demerara rum.  It tastes like a very, very good cognac. Smooth like an older Bourbon.  It is absolutely amazing.  I bought a few back with me and the prices for those have skyrocketed too.

It's nice to crack a good bottle open and share with people.  I miss doing that.  I should start up again. Comeon over for a pour.  I got some good stuff lol.

I do not drink bourbon as I am not a fan. But if I buy a whiskey it is Dewars White Label 99% of the time over Johnny Walker. Smooth and consistent wherever you get it. If I splurge, it is the Balvenie Caribbean Cask. Around $100 for a 750ML. Aged in rum casks. Yes please.

Edit: And I should say I have a few Japanese whiskeys. The Yamazaki being my favorite. Used to get it it for $89 now over $300.
