The former congresswoman Abigail Spanberger, who leads her Republican opponent in nearly every poll of the Virginia gubernatorial race, may have something to teach the Democratic Party about the virtues of moderation. Her advocates often speak of her rating as the most bipartisan member of Virginia’s congressional delegation, but she is best known for her stern words for Democrats shortly after she first took office. Spanberger has long been posed as a foil to the progressive “Squad” in Congress. After House Democrats underperformed in 2020, Spanberger spoke up in a private meeting of the caucus to warn her colleagues against the “defund the police” language. “I’ve heard from colleagues who have said, ‘Oh, it’s the language of the streets, we should respect that,’ ” she said. “We’re in Congress, we are professionals, we are supposed to talk about things in the way where we mean what we’re talking about. If we don’t mean we should defund the police, we shouldn’t say that.”

One can see the contrast with New York’s likely next mayor, Zohran Mamdani, who rose to prominence by proposing rent freezes, city-run grocery stores, and free buses. Though both Spanberger and Mamdani are younger than their predecessors and stress the issue of affordability, Spanberger’s campaign is about competence and pragmatism, not guaranteed heart-stirring. “If you just speak in bumper-sticker sayings or what fits on a rally sign, you’re actually underestimating voters, or you’re making a promise that you can’t complete,” she told Gabriel Debenedetti. “And I think that’s part of why, you know, over time, people’s faith in politics might get degraded.” Read the full story: https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/5QpMPs

Really too bad Dems in NYC, Virginia and NJ don’t know how to communicate their policies or message properly. Now they can look forward to CCOOTWH cutting their federal funding. All their fault, shoulda run more MAGA.

Sound familiar? From Letter From An American:

So Trump is railing at the Democrats—“It’s their fault. Everything is their fault,” he told reporters last week—and ratcheting up pain on the American people.

It was a statement of fact,  not a criticism.

The fact is, if they lose the House next year that would be a historically poor performance when the opp party controls everything.  And guess which states come to life next election day?

The House brings minimal power, because noone cares about its investigations any more.  Does anyone know the House is investigating for the Biden Marionette atm?

The Senate holds the keys to the Court. To have any say in our laws the next few DECADES, the senate is a MUST.

    Whats the plan?
