The Assassination of Charlie Kirk

It made him a millionaire. That's not a 'calling'.Evel K said:Hey everyone, glad to see the thread didn't get closed. I posted here because I felt this community would see this for what it was. A senseless murder. We all have our own views on politics, gun rights, religion and abortion. Any one of these could have been a shooter's motive. It could have easily been a combination of these. If we don't continue to talk about our views and try to find middle ground, the shooter wins. Charlie Kirk was trying to Change your Mind. He used logic, stats, history and religion to do it. His faith was the foundation for all of his views. He was beyond brave. This could have happened at any time, anywhere for any number of reasons. He continued working on the front lines because that was his calling.0 -

His calling also included the degrading of people who didn’t align with his train of thought! Logic? History he stated that the civil rights movement was a mistake? Is that what his Jesus would of wanted, MLK was a myth lol please stop with making him a saint he used vitriol to divide peopleEvel K said:Hey everyone, glad to see the thread didn't get closed. This Reuters article says he lived in an apartment 5 miles from his parents house. So you’re wrong.mickeyrat said:Ledbetterman10 said:

“Police collected additional evidence on Friday evening from Robinson's apartment in St. George, about 5 miles (8 km) from his parents' home near the Arizona border.”
See above. The person that “corrected me within minutes” referenced a Reuters article (without linking to it) that said he lived with his parents. I posted a link to one that says he lived in an apartment, just like Fox News saidTHEBIBLEISTEN said:

Fox News isn’t wrong here. And if “tranny” upsets you, that’s the word THEBIBLEISTEN used in the post I was responding to. So take it up with him.F Me In The Brain said:

I think the conceit is people noting that Charlie Kirk said offensive or hateful things is triggering people mourning over his killing.0

The only upset fans I see are at those gloating over his death. Which are quite a few.Tim Simmons said:I think the conceit is people noting that Charlie Kirk said offensive or hateful things is triggering people mourning over his killing. Now that I think of it, those quoting him on gun deaths being worth it is the only time I’ve seen people upset over quoting him, but I actually haven’t seen that as much as just pure gloating.0 -

Or the top posters here expressing their daily words of hate against people they don’t like.Tim Simmons said:Everyone, let’s not use that word.works both ways

I do think there are some people floating on social media over his death, but I’d say the majority of people who could be seen as “gloating” are just pushing back on the emerging narrative that he was a paragon of civil discourse that we should be pursuing in this country, when in actuality he had some aggressive views and disdain for historically marginalized people and had no problem agitating people who disagreed with him.0

THEBIBLEISTEN said:Some people want a certain narrative to be true so they can continue to cause chaos and hate. At the end of the day 2 kids lost their father and it’s not right. People, it’s up to us to stop this crap. It’s up to us to not be influenced by fake online crap and billionaires who gain power from lies. It’s time to rise above the noise and hatred and come together. It’s starts with all of us. Ok, I’m done preaching.I want to live in a country where it’s difficult to own and carry a gun, especially assault weapons.
i want to live in a country where the first nine words of the second amendment mean something.I want to live in a country where politics is about solving problems and helping people
I want to live in a country where politicians do not express hatred against people they don’t personally know
I want to live in a country where people don’t organize others to hate people more
I want to live in a country where people don’t try to get rich exploiting extremes and the youth.
if Mr Kirk believed any of this, he very well could be alive and his children could be happy today. He had a responsibility to them, and instead decided radical politics, taking risks, and search for wealth and power were more important0 -
Not here. But social media in general. It’s pretty bad. I’ve seen reports of teachers and other public people getting fired for what they’re posting.josevolution said:

I have to say the irony is funny. Can’t mention a report that he was in a relationship with a transgender. But sharing rumors he was right wing extremist and part of the Groyper movement and living in his dads basement without any official word to support it is okay.Ledbetterman10 said:

Bravo.
I won’t believe any of it until I hear it directly from an official (non-media) source. They may already have, I haven’t caught up this morning.0 -

Its pretty clear that this will be transformed into further vilifying Trans people, adding fuel to the fire for calls that they need to be eliminated from society.

I saw that as well. I thought Charlie Kirk was for freedom of speech. So wouldn’t he be upset about people getting fired for expressing that freedom?mace1229 said:
