    5. Using hate speech and denouncing women, minorities, immigrants to get clicks or views does NOT make you a hero, a legend or anything to be admired. 
    6. Free speech is not a pass to degrade people/groups but it should be used to inspire.
    7. Things need to change or it’s just going to get worse. violence is not the answer. 
    8. Hypocrisy is real 
    9. This country is a mess right now and I’m not sure how it gets better, maybe a real president gets elected or better gun laws or better mental health resources or people start denouncing hate and get a spine.

    In our effort to push back against so much misinformation, we wanted to flag an important update on a story that’s been widely circulating.

    The Guardian ran an article that was later corrected. The outlet acknowledged it had to update the piece after realizing part of the reporting wasn’t accurate.

    As seen in the screenshot provided of the story, the editor’s note reads:

    “This article was updated on 12 September 2025 to remove summarized quotes after the verified source who attended high school with Tyler Robinson said after publication that they could not accurately remember details of their relationship.”

    In plain terms:
    - The Guardian originally included paraphrased comments from someone who said they knew the suspect in high school. They claimed, citing an unnamed high school friend, that suspect Tyler Robinson was the lone “leftist” in a family of “very hard” Republicans.
    - After the piece ran, that person admitted they weren’t sure about those details. 
    - The Guardian then removed the quotes and added a note explaining the correction.

    You are part of the problem. Sharing information that is misinformation. It’s sad. People corrected you within minutes, That should tell you something. It’s easier to believe lies than to find out the truth for some people, be better.

    i am going to go back to the whole concept that kirk was "brave" for doing what he did.

    this is laughable to me. 

    talk about jobs that require bravery. police, firefighters, military, disaster workers, politicians, all of those people exhibit more bravery than kirk ever did. they all have more skin in the game than a talking head ever does. i guess it could be considered bravery for him to go into liberal universities to have discussions, but where is the threat there? most liberals are against violence, and definitely against guns. he was killed in ruby red utah. hell, even doctors and medical researchers have to have more bravery than that. look at dr. fauci. he is demonized on the right and all he did was try to advise trump on how to get us through the pandemic. he will forever have a target on him because of right wing media and maga megaphones. 

    kirk was not brave for saying all of the offensive things that he said. i could argue that he was actually crazy for saying some of those things in public.

    i am not saying he got what he deserved, because nobody deserves that. but he was not brave, and he was not the saint that maga is making him out to be. let's be real here.

    I’ve seen seVera stories. First that he lived with his parents and shortly later that cops raided his townhome along with his parents’ house. I’m not putting much stock into any of it right now. I imagine we’ll know all those details in a few days.
    As far as the video game quotes, I heard that was in reference to a bunch of writings he had at the house. Writing “Hey fascist, catch” on a bullet, then shooting a controversial political figure with that bullet, isn’t just a coincidence of random video game quotes. Not like he wrote “but our princess is in another castle” on it. Which also doesn’t make sense with the grouper thing. If that’s true, calling one of the most right leaning public figures a fascist doesn’t really align with that. But like I said, I imagine we’ll know a lot of those details in a few days. Most of that will be easy to confirm or disprove.

    Some people want a certain narrative to be true so they can continue to cause chaos and hate. At the end of the day 2 kids lost their father and it’s not right. People, it’s up to us to stop this crap. It’s up to us to not be influenced by fake online crap and billionaires who gain power from lies. It’s time to rise above the noise and hatred and come together. It’s starts with all of us. Ok, I’m done preaching.
