They coulda went to Perth and had two more sellouts, Brisbane, Adelaide. Pearl Jam does very well in South America, as well. Pearl Jam isnt really into stadiums, are they? Its never been their thing, really. It doesnt mean they cant play them, they just do a mix of arena, stadium, and other outside shows. They probably cant marry the carbon output with 25 stadium shows vs the offset, or some nonsense like that.I would take 2018, as an example. Those 7 stadium shows sold out instantly. Now, if they added two at Citifield, two at Citizens Bank, two in Florida, two in Texas, Atlanta, Cinci, LA, Detroit, Phoenix, etc etc, they could’ve and would’ve sold out 20-25 ball parks. You know they would have, easy. Pearl Jam are a HUGE American band.Aa far as Europe goes, i believe they could do a 20 date stadium tour. I asked this question a few pages ago. Take Krakow. In 2018 and 2022, they sold it out completely, including behind the stage. That puts it around 22,000, as stated for the arena capacity. Now, if it was sold out at 22,000, how many other people mightve been shut out? 10K? 20K? Or, 228?Would another 20k plus show up to a stadium show? Fook yaaaaaaaa. Why would people think a band, that sells out stadiums on every other continent, NOT be able to play stadiums in Europe? If they ever got as pathetic as a lot of bands out there (Green Day), they could call it the TEN, VS, and VITALOGY only tour, and really pack them in.
My prediction is that they bring Krusen back and play a tour with 2 dates in each city, maybe Stadiums? At one of the 2 shows, they will play Ten in its entirety to celebrate its anniversary, or they will play the entire album over the course of 2 shows. Maybe they will do it like Metallica did on their last tour and keep the setlists unique each night?

Ryan said:There is no way Pearl Jam is playing stadiums in North America other than the cities they’ve already done it.
Foo Fighters, Green Day, Chilli Peppers and Metallica all have way more casual fans and appeal to casual music fans. Each of them have 2-4X the number of followers on Instagram than PJ does.
PJ is more like Phish; they have fans that go to every show which allows them to do multiple nights in arenas.
The PJ stadium run in 2018 was careful strategized; they hadn’t toured in two years and only played four cities in the US. All shows were on or around weekends, and there was no sign of them playing shows any time soon after that. And even then, there were lots of tickets dropped for each show 3-4 days beforehand.
If PJ could do a stadium tour, they would have done it already. The reason those bands have more followers on the “medias” is because they have a lot more younger “fans”, the 11-30 demo. They all covet them, with the songs they release to radio, the videos they still make, the awards shows, tv appearances. Pearl Jam maintains their aging fanbase, and do not participate in that stuff. Take Green Day. They wear skinny jeans, mascara, appear on teen magazine covers, write songs like that do you wanna be my girlfriend crap, complete with a bunch of teens in the video. A pathetic show to stay popular and relevant. One music journalist twenty years ago calls PJ the new Grateful Dead, and people see that as gospel out there. They dont have any more or less hardcore fans than any other big bands out there, thats ridiculous. They play mutiple shows in cities because they are a, wait for it, popular band, with a huge fanbase.Carefully strategized? The first Seattle show was a Wed, the Missoula show was a Sunday.Wrigley 2 was a Monday, Boston 1 was a Sunday, Boston 2 was a Tues. There are ticket drops to EVERY show played ever, always has been, always will be.They have always shunned stadium shows. Tim is on record saying they turned down many offers for stadium shows, including the Yield tour. Edward detested them in the early days, and is on record slamming them. Even live, when opening for U2. They played stadiums in ‘05 in South America, but they prob only did that because of the demand, since they hadnt been there before. They shied away from stadiums in Aus over the years until ‘09, instead playing multiple arena shows.Fenway and Wrigley have gotten those shows because those places are “holy grounds” to Ed. He did say in an interview that he asked the other guys if they would play there, for him, because of how special they are to him. Well, Wrigley for sure. I think it was Theo that asked them to play Fenway.0 -
All of those band have been more popular than pearl jam since like 2005.0
