I have only been riding and it’s still miserable. What an awful summer here on the mid Atlantic.  This weekend is 95 and humid so I’m not going out there. Time for a break

It's a quality over quantity golf situation this year for me...have played 3 or so average Country Clubs, but also...

Trump Bedminster (not a fan of it, but was a work thing)
    Playing Aronimink this Friday
Just got in an invite for Philly Cricket Club in September

Hoping to get Merion in the next year or so, have a solid shot with the PGA Championship at Aronimink next year and that being shut down for a while

Also...Happy Gilmore 2...mildly fun but just not good at all. Bizarre Bryson was involved in something like this taking direct shots at LIV?

Nice lineup of courses.    As per usual, my golf really only occurs on my 2-3 golf trips a year.  Especially now that they are closing my golf course for a year for renovations starting in October.  Paying a lot of money for range access and 36 holes a month.

I had a major choke job on the last golf trip. Was playing Trump Doonbeg and was 3 over through 14.  Unheard of for me.  11 pars, 3 bogeys.  Break 80 watch was in my head after the front nine, and surprisingly kept it on the rails for five more holes.  Hit my drive on 15 to the fairway, and the entire swing on my 2nd shot I was thinking I was going to choke.  Felt like a 10 second swing with all the thoughts going through my head.  And I did.   Triple 15, par 16, and double on 17 and 18.  Still stoked with an 82.

It was really fun playing golf getting easy pars. Would always love birdies, but pars are satisfying when you do everything the caddie tells you to do.  Most of the time the caddie says stay on the left side and I end up on the right, or something like that.

Pretty impressive list there Cliffy.  I really need to start becoming friends with country club people.  I'm at around 20 rounds so far this year....things have really picked up the last few weeks after getting out of youth sports hell.  Have started hitting low snap hooks off the tee with driver and grinding my ass off just to shoot a 95.  Brutal.  Have a badly needed lesson coming up Friday.

Happy Gilmore 2 was definitely better than I expected.  My 8 year old loves it but yeah, crazy to see Bryson and Brooks on the tour team fighting against the new flashy tour.  I'm sure the LIV guys were thrilled to see that.

I went out and played my worst round of the  year yesterday (worst by 10 strokes). I've played about a dozen rounds all between 95-112. This was 122. It was brutal. My 64 year old friend who hasn't played at all this year beat me by 29 strokes. Obviously at a certain point, it was just between my ears. On 16, I hit 2 in the water and 1 out of bou ds over the green. Hahaha

The impressive stuff is all work. The my degenerate friends are all at average clubs.

Aronimink is a special place. Played like dog shit. Course is spicy, already getting ready for the PGA. Rough is so much harder than it was a year ago when I played. Very cool place. Very fortunate to get to play it once a year.

Tommy chokes again. Something about him and the PGA Tour.  You don't make it to this level by choking.

    Crazy.

All the credit to rose too…dude could have absolutely took LIV money and instead is grinding and got a PGA win. Seems like he was a perfect fit for LIV and he didn’t. Have to be a fan of him

For sure...he seemed perfect for LIV.  Getting older and harder to compete with the younger dudes.  Awesome that he stayed and worked his ass off.  And you know he's going to come up huge in the Ryder Cup.

Tommy stuff is crazy.  That putt on 17 was just horrible.  Type of shit I do on the course.
