Show ID, registration and proof of insurance, then nothing happens. People think they can fuck with law enforcement. You cannot. The more you piss them off the worse it gets. It will not end well for you. Why do you need my ID? I did nothing wrong. You have no right to search me or my vehicle without a warrant. Guess what? They do have that authority.
Cite the law, counselor. Law enforcement thinks they can assault you and even kill you with impunity. I know who’s side your on because of your self proclaimed white privilege. I bet you sleep well at night knowing that 1,000 drivers will now turn on their headlights when it’s cloudy out.

Define “piss off” in the context of the law.

There is no written law that defines when an officer feels threatened. There is no written law regarding the failure to adhere to an officer's request. Provide an ID and move on. Why is that so hard for so many people? Do not have an ID? Well then you might be subject to further investigation. What person does not have an ID or is otherwise afraid of providing it? Someone that has something to hide.
You didn’t define “piss off” in the context of the law. The constitution doesn’t stop at being pulled over.

What a stupid conclusion. I grab my credit card or cash but not my wallet and walk up the street to the conah store to buy a gallon of milk. No ID. I’ve got something to hide. Get the fuck out of here with your normalization of authoritarianism. For fucks sake, from an attorney no less.
Keep up your uninformed rhetoric. You are not getting stopped at the "conah" store. Whatever that means. It is not complicated. If you have nothing to hide than there is no reason to fear the police. And yes, police have additional privileges when it comes to traffic stops.  Piss off means giving the police an additional basis to hold a suspect. Saying fuck you can be enough. There Is no written law on that. But keep suggesting that the constitution will save you in that instance. It will not.
That the police regularly violate and abuse our rights under the constitution is the issue and you are totally okay with it. Is not rolling my window down all the way a violation of law? No tint on my windows, yo. Or am I hiding something? Maybe pissing off the cop? Is that also against the law, “pissing off” a cop?

The guy who claimed they were going to school me because of their law degree telling me to keep up my uninformed rhetoric is rich. I didn’t realize COOTWH University had a law school.

Edit: Technically it is obstruction. If they cannot ID you, then you can be accused of obstructing. If you fail to follow instructions then it might include resisting. It is not hard for the police to find a reason. And yes, that would have to be worked out later in front of a judge.
There is reasonable interpretation for feeling threatened. You can’t be face down with your fingers interlocked behind your head and a cop claims he felt threatened. It may not be clearly defined, but it still needs to be reasonable.

You do need to show ID in certain circumstances, like a traffic stop. But police can’t just walk up to you and demand your id without reason. They can ask, but in most states you are not required to show it.

Police can search your car without a warrant, but there are limitations to that. They can as part of a lawful arrest or if they find probable cause (they smell alcohol, drug dog gives a signal, etc.). But they 100% cannot just search your car because they feel like it.

Here's the latest on this story. It makes me sick everytime I read about an incident like this.
I grew up in Ohio in the '60s, and back then the thought of someone shooting a cop was unimaginable.
For a kid to even talk back to a policeman was unthinkable, and our dad would've tanned our hide if he'd found out we had.
What has happened to our society?

What has happened? We are a bunch of fucking gun nuts that's what happened. The piece of shit that you voted for promotes anti-police behavior by pardoning people that ASSAULTED POLICE OFFICERS.

"So many officers have come to me, and they've said they don't even see a point in making arrests because the criminals are just going to be back on the streets the very next day," Bowman said. "We have to put pressure on all the judges and prosecutors, and we have to be able to let the officers know, ‘Do your job, see your training and do your job properly, and you're going to have all of City Hall to back you up in that circumstance."

Easy bail for repeat offenders has become a big problem in Canada as well, but our judges are more concerned with the accused’s rights than the public’s, thanks to asinine legislation passed by our current ruling party.
"The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."
