What started out as a positive thread has turned into an AMT location. If I'm wrong, please disregard my ignorance. Move this thread to AMT maybe? This discussion is no longer about those dealing with the fire, it's turned into opinions and politics. Move this to AMT and keep AET a place where discussion is still civil about random things that don't involve AMT anger? Once again, forgive my ignorance if I am out of place. Take care of each other, we need each other folks. The AMT thread got shut down but still, fair enough Attaway. I'll cop to being one of the guilty ones here. I deleted any post of mine that was at all political. If everyone agrees to do the same or at least not make any more political posts from here going out, I'll be on board here. If we can't to that, I'll just move on.Thanks for the good suggestion.
Agree. Express your views. Don't be an asshole or attack others for their views. Don't source bullshit social media that is just based on data mining. A well expressed opinion with knowledge is welcome. Don't go @brianlux.Thank you!I have appreciated your posts and perspectives on these forums.Sometimes I find distance from the past and nostalgia make the past years seems better than it was. We had many rebel rousers years ago (my few hands comes to mind, many others). Perhaps the sting currently is how bad tomorrow noon will be. It’s infuriating the events that lead to tomorrow, but it is what it is.
for now Brian, let’s have a song dedication to your good posts over the years…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGWnd4IJ1VkYou may well be right about nostalgia and looking back, L. But in the past, what the Pearl Jam forums did NOT have here were rabid fans of a collapsing America governed under anti-Democracy/ oligarchy/ kakistocracy/ dictatorship rule. I don't know... it's very hard for me to visual staying on here with what tomorrow and the coming years will bring, and wondering what kind of affect it will have here. I suppose I could cough up the bucks yet again to post about the weather and whatever music I and other people are listening to, but AMT has always been the major draw for me here, and that place has become a toxic pit. I'll still on here through mid-March, so it's conceivable I could change my mind. The biggest obstacle to that is that I'm pretty stubborn when I feel strongly about a decision on which I've made up my mind. But I do have a couple months still, so who knows. In any case, thank you, L! I appreciate that dedication on a couple of levels. First, I'm honored by the dedication- thank you! Secondly, because all along, I would have sworn "Come Back" was a cover from a much earlier song. I just looked it up and it's credited to having been written by McCready and Vedder. I don't know what other song I was thinking of, but I love this song more than ever now!"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -

The very first sentence on the website is a complete and total lie: "LA’s recovery is Governor Newsom’s top priority."
The truth is, the only thing Greasy Gavin cares about is running for president of the U.S.A.
And, L.A. Mayor Karen Bass is no better.
Sometimes in life pessimism is warranted.
The people of Los Angeles are f*cked.

As is so often the case, the "non-profits" are the only ones profiting from the benefit event.0 -
