I feel like I’m in the minority here but the folks around me in GA last night agreed, the sound in GA leaves a lot to be desired. Because they didn’t aim the highs down at us, all we got was bass and mids, terrible sound engineering. You have Jeff, stone and Ed’s voice all low in the mix, and no treble whatsoever. We couldn’t even hear the lyrics until Ed’s range got above the lows in the mix, half of most songs he was drowned out, and most of stones guitar work was muddy and just blended in with the rest of the lows. Very bad sound- we were all about 10-15 feet dead center stage.
Something tells me they engineered their sound check to the seats about 30 feet off the floor, where I’m guessing the sound was superb.
Don’t take away from my experience, which was a good one overall, but it was startlingly poor, we could barely make out the riffs in wishlist- the guy from Argentina next to me actually thought they skipped the parts because we couldn’t hear the high notes. I had to point at Mike and say, “no, he’s playing it now, you can see him playing with the volume dial on his strat”
I think that might just be a “front of GA” issue? Sound at the back of GA, in the middle, was great. Sorry you dealt with that and that it soured the experience a bit.
Does anybody know the last time they played a show that had none of the following? Black, Jeremy, Betterman, Daughter, Elderly Woman, Given to Fly…
Of the 30-ish shows I’ve seen, HoB Orlando is the only one not to feature any of those songs. And every other show has featured at least 2.
The show was solid and the band is in great form. But I’m kind of hoping we get more of the big guns for N2 with deep cuts and rarities interspersed between. Probably in the minority here, but I love when the whole room is singing along at the top of their lungs.
I’d love Evolution to take a rest night 2. Looking forward to the DM tracks that weren’t played , hoping for black out of all the big guns. As far as “rarities” I’d love Breath, in hiding or in my tree.

You may be right! But it by no means soured the experience- I actually had a similar poor sound experience sound wise in the floor of Ft. Lauderdale in ‘16 which is kinda funny. But being able to see Pearl Jam with my beautiful wife anytime anywhere is one of the greatest experiences and memories a fan can have ❤️

My likely unpopular opinion…corduroy should be played at every concert. Can replace even flow
Probably not as unpopular as you’d think. I sometimes wonder if I’d start to get excited about Even Flow again if they decided to make it a live rarity. 🤔
my band/artist is springsteen, but love PJ as well. only my 3rd PJ show. saw them in Brasil in 2005 and 2011. i moved to USA in 2017. had a great time. obvious , many songs missing, but .... wife has some cool videos and a few photos. will post later, these photos are mine. she was the birthday girl (small sign with ID on screen), we had some wine from eddie. i hope i will see them again soon. a friend in need of one or 2 tickets for saturday (please, PM me if you have anything). great band, great fans!

What a great night… Getting Oceans & Deep in the 1st 4 songs set the tone for what was one of the more interesting setlists I’ve seen them play. It was far from my favorite, but no complaints… the only bad Pearl Jam show is no Pearl Jam show; I can’t wait to see what they do tomorrow night. 1st time opener & closer for me w/ Oceans & SS. Bringing the house lights back down for SS was a good call / a nice touch.
Was that alternate video footage for DTE? I didn’t recognize a lot of it.
The band was in great form, although I was a little surprised they didn’t do a curtain call, they cleared out pretty quickly when all was said & done.
The venue is also cool AF… sound was great most of the show… Crazy Mary in particular sounded AMAZING up in 202, but the first part of SS was muddy… go figure.
To the drunk ahole in 202 row H… I’m glad they didn’t play Elderly… your yelling in between songs & while Eddie was talking was insufferable… get a f’ing life.
To the gals in the middle of 202 rows G & F having a blast & dancing all night - you made the night for my wife & I. We were gassed after flying out of Boston yesterday morning, and the energy you ladies brought was infectious. It was clear you were all lost in and very much loving the moment, and we loved being around that.
All in all it was a great show at a great venue…. Can’t wait for tomorrow night!

Awesome show. They sounded great! Were tight and having fun. Venue was a blast, pre and post game vibes in the casino off the charts

I had a different experience. Not to be a party pooper but I thought the crowd was bleh. Most of the 200s and 300s sitting. My section, 117 towards the back, didn’t move…at all. In fact there were ROWS of people who left in the middle of Porch. Everyone talking during songs…ugh. Also, maybe because I was under the overhang, but the sound was muddy to me. Mind you I was off to the side of the venue but still. Not my ideal setlist either. It’s pretty amazing how people at the same show can have different experiences.
That said, Ed sounded great. Definitely noticed the small new differences in production. Amongst the Waves, Footsteps, Crazy Mary, Baba, and Setting Sun were my highlights. That was such a good version of Footsteps. I absolutely loved SS last night too, that was a pretty heavy second half of the song. Really looking forward to Saturday in GA.
That’s really unfortunate. So sorry to hear that. I actually had a similar experience at Camden ‘22. Amazing setlist and touted by many as the standout show of the tour. But the worst PJ experience I’ve had in years. The drunken bros right next to us were spilling beer everywhere and crashing into my wife and I the whole time. Also, most of the people in the row in front of me were sitting down during breath. Need I say more?
I’ve learned that your experience is shaped to a huge extent by the people immediately around you- regardless of how good the setlist is or how good the band sounds, they can make or break the show. I’ve had mixed experiences with seats, which is why I much prefer GA. When I’m at a PJ show, I’m there for the music. That means I’m standing, singing, and rocking out the whole time. But I’ve encountered multiple situations in seats where the people behind me have asked me to sit down. Obviously that’s not a concern in GA. Also, in GA, if you’re standing near people who are causing issues, you can simply move to a better area. I’ve also noticed that the people closer to the stage are generally there more for the music and are more energetic, and are not spending nearly as much time on their phones, chitchatting with their neighbors, etc.
My likely unpopular opinion…corduroy should be played at every concert. Can replace even flow
Agreed.
I’d even love switching up the placement of songs like even flow alive and corduroy. Even flow would work in Alives spot. I always thought coming out of mikes solo the buildup to that final chorus would be perfect to turn the house lights on. Alive ending main set would be awesome.

Dude!!! I'm the Mordecai who got the dedication for Crazy Mary. I posted on the forum because it's my wife's favorite song and she never heard it live, never thinking in a million years that it would actually happen.
So, so grateful!! An out of body experience to hear my name come out of his mouth. Wow!
