So admittedly I haven’t been to a ton of shows (this was my 6th). In some ways it was my favorite, in some ways it was my least.  I was 2nd row 3rd level; thought Eddie was super engaging and seemed like the band was really enjoying themselves, really liked the setlist (can easily go no repeat for N2) but it was a totally different crowd dynamic relative to the arenas.   I think I’d put it this way: if I’d never seen PJ before not sure I would’ve gotten it.  As lucky enough to see them a few times, I treasured this unique setting.

My 1st tour opening night of shows that I’ve seen.

Finished Ten live with Oceans and Deep. Nice.

Dark Matter album songs sound great live. Was hoping for Scared of Fear, but beggers…

My 1st Crazy Mary w/ Boom and it had a start/stop. Ugh. Still a highlight.

300 section was a great view/sounding. Only my 2nd show in that venue. Underrated place.

Umm, is the DTE vid on well, actual video tape? I think they stole my VHS recording off 120 Minutes in 98 for the screen.

Not going to be a wow setlist by the end of the DM tour.

That being said, they sounded great & as the distance to the end Is closer now than it’s ever been - always great to still see them and having fun and with that energy.

Guessing Night 2 is gonna be the show to see this tour.

    P.S. Mike fuckin’ McCready!

P.P.S. Brief commnent on merch: skip the early merch line, imo. Walked in at 6:30 at venue for merch line. My size of show shirt gone and buttons, too - but otherwise quick line w/ everything else (except plates.)  BTW, are rumors true of some guy buying and flipping 200 license plates from early merch? They need to fix that, if so.

I’ve seen the boys a bunch with some all time classics in there but I’ll remember this one for sure.

After hours upon hours of refreshing trying to get anything I snagged a killer pair at the box office last minute that will also get me into the building on Sat with a trade. Kinda reminded me of the PJ20 f5 pain that paid off for sure but being local and not missing out made it feel that much better.

Was half expecting Oceans as an opener being in Florida and all but man it sounded so good and that start was awesome. Just open with Release on Sat please.

Some of my favorite classics mixed in with the newer material was fine although I feel they need to grow on me some more.

Setting Sun is an awesome closer. Love it.

Plenty of space and I ended up moving forward because it was wide open towards the middle. Plenty of sight lines and perfect wall of sound.

As for the show I found the setlist truly ideal for my tastes. I also found I had never heard the band so well at a venue before. Crystal clear and the purpose built venue truly lived up to the hype.

The band were energized and excited to be kicking off the tour at this venue and it showed. I thought the pace was ideal and the show’s ebb and flow unfolded with a solid design in mind. Having played with the Dead Pioneers it seemed as though certain songs/lyrics were chosen.

Enjoyed the tweaked production show as well. It truly felt like a new version rather than a repeat.

The entire crowd brought it as did the band.

Truly appreciative for the chance to attend.

I was at the very back of GA. Plenty of space, great sound and view. I don’t prefer GA, but last night was great.

Sound was unbelievable. Band were in perfect form, crowd was great. Venue was unique. Weather down here has been incredible. Setlist was decent but I stopped caring about the setlists after covid. DM songs got a tremendous response compared to last year. I think everyone had a year with the album and it certainly shows how much the album is loved. Even wreckage got a great reaction when last year it was a dud , energy wise.   Can’t wait to do it again Saturday.

I had a different experience. Not to be a party pooper but I thought the crowd was bleh. Most of the 200s and 300s sitting. My section, 117 towards the back, didn’t move…at all. In fact there were ROWS of people who left in the middle of Porch. Everyone talking during songs…ugh. Also, maybe because I was under the overhang, but the sound was muddy to me. Mind you I was off to the side of the venue but still. Not my ideal setlist either. It’s pretty amazing how people at the same show can have different experiences.

That said, Ed sounded great. Definitely noticed the small new differences in production. Amongst the Waves, Footsteps, Crazy Mary, Baba, and Setting Sun were my highlights. That was such a good version of Footsteps. I absolutely loved SS last night too, that was a pretty heavy second half of the song. Really looking forward to Saturday in GA.

I had blast. From the GA this was hands down the best sound I've ever had in 14 shows. You could hear every instrument, it was very clear, Mike solos were still ripping, damn even Boom solo on Crazy Mary was not only audible, it just ripped too. For an album tour this was a great setlist for me because I love the new album, Wreckage is a magic song, React Respond kicks ass live, Setting Sun is amazing as a closer. Sure I wished we have one or two Vs but for people who never saw them I think a heavy Ten setlist was cool and Deep is always such a treat. I do agree some of the crowd was apathetic but I also had two long time fans in front of me rocking the hell out of the show (kuddos ladies, one of you had short blonde hair, you'll recognize yourself), while managing to not be annoying, something precious these days. I honestly hesitated to do another show after Austin and feeling they were getting a bit old (like me for sure), but they proved me wrong, Ed sounded amazing, the band was amazing as always. Hell I might not sell my ATL ticket after all (although I'm sure the sound will be mid at best).

Section definitely affects experience. Hands down. I have seats for Saturday and I have low expectations for the crowd, hopefully I’ll be wrong. At this point, I’m just happy to see them so I’ll make the most of it either way. I will say, there were 3-4 people that went down in ga. One during alive had to be stretchered out, hope he is ok!!

I feel like I’m in the minority here but the folks around me in GA last night agreed, the sound in GA leaves a lot to be desired.  Because they didn’t aim the highs down at us, all we got was bass and mids, terrible sound engineering.  You have Jeff, stone and Ed’s voice all low in the mix, and no treble whatsoever.  We couldn’t even hear the lyrics until Ed’s range got above the lows in the mix, half of most songs he was drowned out, and most of stones guitar work was muddy and just blended in with the rest of the lows.  Very bad sound- we were all about 10-15 feet dead center stage.

Something tells me they engineered their sound check to the seats about 30 feet off the floor, where I’m guessing the sound was superb.

Don’t take away from my experience, which was a good one overall, but it was startlingly poor, we could barely make out the riffs in wishlist- the guy from Argentina next to me actually thought they skipped the parts because we couldn’t hear the high notes.  I had to point at Mike and say, “no, he’s playing it now, you can see him playing with the volume dial on his strat”
