Yea. I’m assuming it will come back. It always does. How is that unlikely? Actually….. I don’t care. I don’t need your stock market advice. I don’t mind the drops, just another buying opportunity.Gern Blansten said:

Yeah. There are dips, but historically the merket always bounces back and grows.0

Exactly.Tim Simmons said:Yeah. There are dips, but historically the merket always bounces back and grows. You know, I don’t mind having discussions or disagreements about the stock market. But the red hat comment came out of nowhere and was ridiculous and unnecessary. Maybe certain people here are chomping at the bit since the usual 3 trolls are permanently banned here.0 -

I was focusing on the "no one will lose" comment...there are always losers. People that sell low and buy high. the red hat comment isn’t justified. At all actually. It’s ridiculousAnd you’re incorrectly quoting what I said. You’re conveniently leaving out the first part of that sentence. And you literally just said it’s UNLIKELY to go back up. Which imo, makes no sense based on history.0 -
I think that was just last night's hockey game.

I'll concede that you did say "as long as you don't sell"....true... my response was due to seeing tons of people panic and sell when it's low and then wait until it goes back up to buy.
And yes...I understand the stock market and its historical returns. I've got my series 7 after all. I was dissecting your comment that everything that goes down will comes back up which is definitely not true when you look at individual stocks. If you are referring to the market in general sure it will go back up...always does. But tons of people still lose.
And I'm sorry about the red hat comment. You probably don't need another one.
