Granted, they did change the wording at the bottom of the 'your ticket listing just sold' email to say that you now don't get paid until after the event. But how many of us who've sold lots of tickets actually read the fine print on every single sold notification? Our boxes are full of them, and it's been the same auto-generated email for years. Why would I think this notification would be any different than the one I received the week before? I just think they could have done a better job of communicating such a sudden change in policy.GB66214 said:
Wow that's SUPER lame. TM gets to hold onto my money for 5 months for no good reason? Sweet. Thanks for posting this here to spread awareness, though. Saved me from having to waste my time contacting them about it.aisleseats said:
It would appear it does. I sold one on 1/11 that I never got paid for. Been arguing with their chat reps the past week about getting payment, and was told repeatedly that you don't get paid until after the event. I just assumed they didn't know what they were talking about (as is usually the case), but it seems I was wrong. Would have been nice if they gave some kind of notice. I sold one 5 days before that and had no problem getting paid.JOEJOEJOE said:Just sold some non-PJ tickets on TM. Looks like they now pay you after the event for tickets listed after January 8. Not sure if this applies to F2F.Post edited by aisleseats on0 -
Bots have been a fan problem for many, many years. They have always been one step ahead. Which I find surprising since TM now wants to resell it own tickets for more money. You would think they could find the tech to block them. Interesting about TM holding up payment until the event. That is millions of dollars sitting in TM's account earning interest. Their greed never ends.0

I sold tickets on the TM platform in 2021 and they held payment until after the event.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh 20

They did that when concerts first came back after Covid, but for the last year or two, until very recently it appears, they paid out a few days after the sale.on2legs said:I sold tickets on the TM platform in 2021 and they held payment until after the event.PJ: 2013: London (ON); Buffalo; 2014: Cincinnati; 2016: Sunrise, Miami, Toronto 1-2, Wrigley 2; 2018: London (UK) 1, Milan, Padova, Sea 2, Wrigley 1-2, Fenway 1-2; 2021: SHN, Ohana, Ohana Encore 1-2; 2022: LA 1-2, Phx, Oak 1-2, Fresno, Copenhagen, Hyde Park 1-2; Quebec, Ottawa, Hamilton, Toronto; MSG, Camden, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, OKC; 2023: St. Paul 1-2, Chicago 1-2; Fort Worth 2; Austin 1-2; 2024: Vancouver 1-2, LV 1-2, LA 1-2, Napa, Barcelona 1-2; Indy; Chicago 1-2; MSG 1-2; Philly 2; Boston 2; Ohana 1-2; 2025: FL 1-2, ATL 1-2, Nash 1-2, Pit 1-2.

Yeah, they started doing that when covid hit and all the events were being cancelled or postponed. But then they went back to paying after the sale at the end of 2022. Not sure what prompted them to go back to holding our money now.on2legs said:I sold tickets on the TM platform in 2021 and they held payment until after the event.0 -

Higher interest rates….they earn more on the held funds.aisleseats said:

Still not sure what you mean by that. It's a distribution channel and collects fees on initial sales as well as resales but I'm not aware of TM having it's own tickets to sell.Get_Right said:SHZA said:

Been saying this for years. All these early sale dates a year before the show are tantamount to an interest-free loan. Pays to wait!JOEJOEJOE said:

Premium and dynamic pricing. All TM tickets sold at higher pricing.0 -
TM doesn't own the tickets. It makes money on the sale regardless of whether the buyer is a bot or a human. If brokers are buying them to flip, that just means the tickets were under priced.Get_Right said:SHZA said:

Actually, if you ever read the fine print on the ticket there are licenses to attend an event and can be revoked by TM at anytime for any reason. Anyhow, the point is that TM is controlling the supply of tickets to the public so you would think they would do more stop the bots.0 -
The venue is authorized to cancel the license too but that doesn't mean TM owns the tickets. If bots snatch up all the standard tickets, don't you think that would help TM sell more premiums?Get_Right said:SHZA said:

To be fair, they could dedicate it to themselves as well. They're the ones on board with this disaster. Nothing says textbook gouging like "PJ Premium" seats which equates to paying 10 times the price for a seat on a flight flight that puts you between 2 enormous people holding babies in the last row by the bathroom. The band and 10c is completely tone deaf and only worried about how to squeeze 1 more dime from the overly loyal fan base.Shaindli1 said:

If they are delaying payment they best change that notice in the app and website. I’m pretty
sure this is against some law.
As of right now.
