I have thoughts on this but thus far, it’s been too depressing to express them. I keep mulling it over, what’s happening and happened to get where we are as a country and a culture, and it’s almost too overwhelming to express it. Bottom line? The US is fucked in the near and far term.

My hope is the same here as what I replied to gimme above. I do think eventually things could swing the other way again. My biggest fear is that both the people in this country and humanity as a whole are on their final slide to the bottom. But that's just too pessimistic.
