Which Concert(s) do you Regret Missing the most?

For me it is The Clash in 1980.  I was just getting into concerts (I was only 14) and I had no idea they were playing.  Luckily, I was able to see them a few times in 1982 and 1984.

In 2nd place is XTC.  The singer suffered from stage fright so they stopped touring before I could see them.

Tom Petty played a local small amphitheatre in 2006 and I didn't go. Been kicking myself ever since

PJ opening for RHCP. Showed up late and caught smashing pumpkins and rhcp. Whoops! Could care less back then. What did I know I was missing. Friend I went with saw the whole line-up a few weeks later in Portland I think and of course told me PJ stole the show!

Scott Wieland on his "solo" tour with the Wildabouts before he passed. The show was downgraded to a smaller venue because of ticket sales, my favourite in the city (holds 300 people-even I've performed on that stage haha). Decided $40 was more than I wanted to spend. 15 months or so later he was gone.

Soundgarden on the King Animal tour, 2013. They didn't come to Winnipeg, but they played Minnie. My buddy, a massive Cornell fan, we were going to go together. He had a fucking wedding that same weekend. He was in the wedding party. Only got to see them once in 94.

I saw the RHCP, Nirvana and PJ show in L.A. 1991.....tbh, PJ seemed a bit generic to me since I didn't really know any of their material.

Prince.  I had front row balcony in the cart for the 2nd show in Atlanta for what ended up being his last show before he passed away.  It was a week night, it was sandwiched between Pearl Jam’s Greenville and Columbia 2016 shows (which I did attend), it was 4 hrs away in Atlanta, it was a $300 seat, it was him solo on piano, and my wife was 4mo pregnant w/ our second. It is by FAR the show I regret missing most.

all the times I chose not to go to the Tragically Hip because "they never play any deep cuts". They were still kick ass live, even if it was usually just a few new numbers and all the hits. Luckily I saw them on their final tour.

Buddy was late with work and I was a little sick so we decided to not drive up from DC. Brutal.

Some of those early Lollas I guess. Certainly club shows by bands that really blew up.

IDK, "regret" is too strong of a word. They're just concerts. I'm happy with the hundreds of concerts I've seen and my general POV is if I'm happy and satisfied today, I don't have any regrets of the past because what happened got me to this place I'm at today.

Skipped The White Stripes MSG show in 2007 because I was studying for the law school entry exam.  Didn't know they would be breaking up afterwards.  Luckily I saw them in 2005 though and now I appreciate that show so much more.

I guess I can kinda say Gorge 1 2006 because I travelled all the way out there for night 2.  But I was 20 and barely had the money to pay for the trip, let alone miss another day of work and another day of hotel.  Plus the Severed Hand opener was perfect for me!

I guess my point is.... sometimes you make shows, sometimes you miss them.  The world keeps turning

Chris Cornell solo in Boston, 2015ish. Had tickets but it was a Wednesday night and work and blah blah blah, so I sold them. Figured I would catch him next time.

AIC opening for Slayer. Showed up late. Caught slayer most importantly. Didn't care about any band named Alice!

TOTD, yes, another one. I was going to go with my buddy to the Seattle show. Tight on money. "I'll catch them next time".

Almost missed RNDM. Drove into Queens by mistake and couldn't get back easily. Missed a song or 2. Luckily was alone so no angry passengers.

    Bye bye
