Which Concert(s) do you Regret Missing the most?

Nirvana at Cardiff International Arena, April 1 1994. After Kurt’s overdose in March the show was postponed to September. We all know what happened a few days after the original date.
The other one I regret is Prince’s Piano & a Microphone solo tour. He played Sydney Opera House and the State Theatre in February 2016, just a few weeks before he passed away. I remember being put off by the ticket prices and thinking we’d have another chance to see him.“Do not postpone happiness”
(Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

Foo Fighters at Avalon Boston... self titled tour (1995 or 1996?)

Planted firmly at the top of my list is PJ in Sacto in '22, literally across the country from where I live. My buddy and I went all-in, camped on the sidewalk and were #'s 1 & 2 in the GA line (w/ wristbands to prove it LOL). 3:30p the following afternoon, i.e. show day, and after dedicating nearly 24 hours to waiting time, the announcement is made that the show is cancelled. Makes for a great story but, damn, it was a thoroughbred kick to the cahones at the time.
Near the top of the list is Phish at a small club in Birmingham, AL in 1993. We were going to have a drink beforehand and, once we parked, my buddy who'd driven locked his keys in his car. The printed ticket stubs, unfortunately, were stowed in his glove box. This was before the days of cell phones so there we were standing outside the club, just couldn't go in for the show. To this day we still joke about it.
Another general regret would be obstinately choosing to not like Grateful Dead - live, studio, or otherwise - and therefore not seeing them play during their waning years, which I was around for. Of course, years later they're now firmly etched into my Mount Rushmore of all-time bands and I try to see Bobby, DeadCo, etc as much as possible. Making up for lost time!0 -
The Tea Party on their Alhambra acoustic tour. Show sold out instantly. Hope they do something for its 30th anniversary.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0

Yes on missing out on the grateful dead too. My friends saw them. I always thought they were OK but more into heavy music. Might have saved my brain cells not going. I knew a pair of dead heads that went to a show. As the story went, one of them was convinced his friend was bad. Lit the hotel room on fire and took his car! No one was hurt, but dang!!
No thank you0 -
East Troy, WI 2011, I was living in Chicago at the time, but was worried I couldn't afford or get the time off from my job. I heard that was a pretty epic show.
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.0 -
My biggest regret is not going to see Temple of the Dog on the reunion tour (was scared off by the pricing at the time). Honorable mention to some others I would go back and see if given the chance: David Bowie, Tom Petty, Prince.0

I'm in the Prince club as well. 2013 at the showbox, a club show in Seattle.
Artists scalping their own tickets was a new move back then, so I scoffed at it for $300 a pop.
Dumb.

I ran into car trouble heading to my first Tool show in 2001. By the time I got it sorted out, I made it into the venue and only saw part of the last song by opening act Tricky. I was relieved I made it on time to see Tool, but I've regretted missing out on Tricky ever since.

I went to this, but there were so many acts i missed, that i would have liked to see. Haggard and lemmy died soon after this.
The worst of times..they don't phase me,
even if I look and act really crazy.0 -
My biggest regrets for artists I didn’t get around to to seeing are Bowie, Prince, Johnny Cash & Layne era AIC (although I didn’t have a ton of opportunity to see AIC when he was performing).

Pantera and Slayer on same bill? Wow.
Did catch AIC once st lollapalooza and remember thinking they were great! All details of show have been erased from memory...
Did go to Woodstock. The one without the riots. Caught lots of great bands. Missed Aerosmith *except opening song back in the saddle from a distance waiting for a ride back to campsite. Missed Primus, Metallica. . Like Malroth said about riot fest. too many great bands and lots of fun distractions. Wouldn't change a thing.
PS saw Motorhead twice. 2nd time got punched point blank in the jaw by Mad dog. Some dude who didn't quite understand the mosh pit. He told me: "I saw motorhead 50 times!" I put my arm around him and said "I hope I don't see you at your 51st" I should have clocked him. But chances are he wouldn't have felt it and I would have taken a couple more to the head!
End of flashback

At Lolla, Would opened....and that bass line, combined with the crowd surge, is something I'll remember forever. Was so pumped. (And, squished, for that song!)The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -
When I was a sophomore in high school I missed a Stone Temple Pilots / Red Hot Chili Peppers show that I've always regretted. Also bummed I never got s chance to see RATM."For when the music hits, I feel no pain at all"

There are a number of bands and artists I wish I had seen when I could, but I've seen so much great music, I tend to be more grateful for what I have seen than regretful for what I haven't.The one show I had tickets for that fell through was for Duke Ellington. My sister and I had tickets to see Ellington and his big band, but the show was cancelled due to Ellington being ill. The show was never rescheduled because that illness soon led to his death."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0
