Really? You think a lot of fans have no interest in seeing them in one of the smallest rooms they’ve played?ComeToTX said:
Red Rocks is a historic venue that many tens of thousands of PJ fans around the world would travel to to see PJ in. Hard Rock is an expensive hotel with a smaller than normal capacity that a lot of us have no interest in visiting.Shaindli1 said:
Red Rocks has a bigger capacity than the Hard Rock in Hollywood FL- ~9500. 2 or 3 nights run might not be as impossible as you think.HailHailVitalogy said:
Yup lolComeToTX said:Artists that most people here have never heard of easily sell out Red Rocks for 2 shows. That would be an impossible ticket for PJ.0 -
I don’t have an interest in traveling there, no. I’ve seen them in 2 smaller venues than that though. This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0

Yes, very uninterested. It’s not going to be any more special of a show. You’ll get the 4-5 Dark Matter songs, a couple deep cuts, and the staples. Just like all the other Dark Matter showsnicknyr15 said:

There's still something to seeing their standard show in a 7k theater vs an arena or larger. I don't think anyone is expecting a radically unique set.tylermoore said:

Who said the setlist will be any more special? I’d love to see them in any venue that’s small. It’s been nothing but arenas and a ton of stadiums for a long time. This is a welcome changetylermoore said:

Add the Borgata shows to the list. Hollywood is in Florida. Happy for the southeast fans but I will not go out of my way to be there. And I think Red Rocks is overrated and not an easy venue to get to. Recent shows have not been worth the traveling IMHO.0

I went once for My Morning Jacket. Absolutely beautiful and glad I checked it off the list but I'm good with one and done.Get_Right said:Add the Borgata shows to the list. Hollywood is in Florida. If they are going to do 2 shows in each city pattern I really wish they would take the Metallica/DMB approach and not repeat anything.0

They do but at least you’d know you could do both shows and get 2 completely different ones.nicknyr15 said:

True. Doing one stadium show gives me nightmares, let alone two hahah.jdopj said:

I absolutely agree, but with the way PJ does ticketing/their demand, i see why they don’t. For Metallica most of the tickets sold are 2-day, so a majority of the audience is at both shows. While DMB are individual tickets, their two-fers are usually the destination weekends, and their demand is nowhere near PJ’s, so they know most of the audience is the same both nights-heck even for the Blossom/Pine Knob mid-week back to back this summer they didn’t repeat anything! For PJ, sure there’s some that are able to get into both shows, but i’d guess the vast majority are only getting into one. And while all us hardcore folks would be fine missing Even Flow or Alive or Black, etc, there are plenty of other people out there who would be upset at missing those for what could be the only PJ show they’re able to get tickets to.jdopj said:If they are going to do 2 shows in each city pattern I really wish they would take the Metallica/DMB approach and not repeat anything.0 -
But make them 10C members only shows. Also, you are only allowed tickets to 1 show, like MSG this year. More people can see them and tickets would end up in the hands of die hard fans, not scalpers.Shaindli1 said:

RR is overrated and a pain in the ass to get in and out of. But for those 3 hours it’s worth it. I’d rather go to the Gorge again but RR is a 20 min drive for me. Also, the notion that we fight for seats at RR isn’t entirely true. Every show’s seating chart is different. GA can be the front, back, or the whole venue where you just try to get the best bench. The whole venue can be assigned seats which it was for The Strokes. The issue is people from the way top coming down to the trees on the sides to get closer but I don’t care because they’re not blocking my view. RR and AXS should pay them a shit load of money to do a non-LiveNation show.

I'd be more inclined to go to RR again if it was an all assigned seats showHailHailVitalogy said:RR is overrated and a pain in the ass to get in and out of. But for those 3 hours it’s worth it. I was there for the last two MMJ shows at RR. I do not need to go back. It's like when you see the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Joshua Tree, or Moab, ok beautiful place, lets go. Then it takes you hours to get back to the hotel or airBNB.0 -
I was lucky enough to see them in 2004 at the now defunct <7K cap Deltaplex in Grand Rapids, and the only really special thing about that show was the thrill of successfully buying tickets. If you're close enough, it doesn't really matter what size the venue is. Also, the Deltaplex had maybe the most horrendous sound on the planet. I'm also just gonna state for the record that I'd much rather visit Red Rocks than Florida, but I'm sure it's a state of the art venue lol.nicknyr15 said:

Moab and the area around it are absolutely breathtaking. I’d go all the time if I could. Agree about the others lolGet_Right said:pjl44 said:

Been watching the resale market for shows that I didn’t get through the club. Hoping the prices dip post Christmas. Still very high for first night Pittsburg, and ofc the Florida shows. Would love a second leg that includes Canada, and some easier destinations for us northerners. Fingers crossed for Europe as I’ve got to be there in July anyway 🤞0
