This is the way. At least for the time being, F2F is dead as we know it. It had a good run, but sitting on TM refreshing is no longer a viable way to get tickets. Direct links are the way forward. And Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone!ekwipt said:I’m not after Raleigh but just a suggestion for the drop and all others going forward:
DM the link to the first 5 (or less) people here who say they’re interested. Don’t post it publicly. Any non-members could be fishing these forums for links. It’s easy to start a DM for 5 or less people ahead of time then just copy, paste the link when it’s ready.0 -
if ticket procurement was the only issue we could work around it. Seeing friends get their accounts locked and tickets unable to be sold is a line too far.. Thats why I snapped.. TM is doing it to blame their greedy practices on us the fans. They can point to the accounts they blocked as proof they are fighting against BOTS and scalpers. Calling us the evil in this. It's like catching a person stealing a candy bar, parading them before their company to show they are solving a shrink problem, while at the same time pushing pallets of merch to mob out the back door.steven87 said:

I have been botted for days now and was sent that questionnaire to complete. I assume I will lose that appeal and my account will be turned off. Fuck Ticketmaster.2016: Telluride, CO

I doubt the angry mob of 100 pissed off 10C members who had their TM account banned for DDoS’ing the TM servers is really going to move the needle in any direction.
I suspect that yes, the scalpers have sophisticated means and pay for the privilege of using the partner API. There really is no fix for this, other than to not play the game and force the scalpers to eat the ticket costs. TM won’t change, no incentive to - maybe at best you can get them to change the language around F2F out fear of public shaming, but even that’s doubtful.0 -
We need to be the tip of the spear... ! Do you want to pay $1000 for seats... I cant afford that. We need to make the band aware. Every additional dollar spent on tickets to scalpers, is a dollar less spent on merch and other revenue that should go to the band. This is no different than Napster in early 2000s... Back then bands got a significant amount of revenue from album sales. That is no longer the case, money is made now on touring. Hurting fans will impact PJs bottom line, that is something I think they would want to fix.jsilsby said:I doubt the angry mob of 100 pissed off 10C members who had their TM account banned for DDoS’ing the TM servers is really going to move the needle in any direction.

This is the most realistic take. Still gonna try to figure out some way to change things though. Nothing to lose really, other than time. And I have a whole lot more of that now that I can’t try to buy tickets. 😆jsilsby said:I doubt the angry mob of 100 pissed off 10C members who had their TM account banned for DDoS’ing the TM servers is really going to move the needle in any direction.

I might as well try. Not my first time or last time tilting at windmills. Also there is no way 10C members are DDoSing TM. Even if you got every past and current member trying at the same time their system could handle it.

That is the reality we live in. We have hope that it isn't just us but others trying to get Oasis or Metallica, etc. and that it can get enough attention for something?? to happen.jsilsby said:I doubt the angry mob of 100 pissed off 10C members who had their TM account banned for DDoS’ing the TM servers is really going to move the needle in any direction.

so what happens with my payment info now? @GlowGirl my profile has 'application error' for all my payment info. I sold a ticket to Raleigh 1 on December 19th that has not been paid out to me and now apparently I have no way of adding back in my bank information? You need to call TM customer service about the payment owed to you. They should still have a record of your payout information. I’m not sure what happens if a show gets cancelled in terms of getting a refund. Right now it appears that you won’t be able to sell any tickets on F2F but maybe call Ticketmaster to see if there is any solution to that. The whole thing is getting really crazy.Sugarloafer04 said:so what happens with my payment info now? @GlowGirl my profile has 'application error' for all my payment info. If Robert Smith can force TM to abide by not allowing tickets to be marked up and fans to get tickets, Eddie should have equal if not better influence. Considering the 1995 anti TM campaign, I would think Eddie would not want this tied back to him and PJ in a negative way.GlowGirl said:

This idiotic disaster explains why the shows over the past couple years have been lacking energy and excitement. For one, the arenas are not jammed like in years past, people are leaving early even though the set lists are much shorter and the crowd consists of more random people and not fans. The band is simply out of touch and thinks that people are just going to start following a band of 60 year old dudes. That's just not the case. Meanwhile, they are basically stealing from thousands of 10c members who now get absolutely nothing with their yearly membership. It's green disease and they are chock full of it.

If you think Eddie gives AF about the fan base, you're mistaken PJ and Eddie have been in bed with TM since that little stunt in court. They immediately bent over for TM and have been on their knees ever since. Eddie was just on national TV a month or 2 ago and flat out said that he hates touring. Put those 2 things together and you can see why it has turned into PJ raping their most loyal fan base. They hate touring and they are trying to squeeze every lasts cent out of the fans while playing 20 songs which include a bunch of new ones nobody likes. Its a game to them at this point.craigraether said:

Well, if fan to fan isn’t a thing any more, the 10c membership becomes more valuable as a way to at least get in the door for face value. So I wonder, are we sure 10c is unaware of this mess? Because the existence of the mess, though not caused by 10c, enhances the value prop of 10c.RP123663 said:This idiotic disaster explains why the shows over the past couple years have been lacking energy and excitement.
