    Yeah lots to do on Glenwood South. Mojo's and Cardinal are some of my faves. Record Krate has a unique selection -- some great old school country and a lot of 80s new wave stuff. Sorry State has a LOT of punk and hardcore 45s -- they lean more towards hard rock and punk.

    Check out the R-Line -- I mentioned it in my previous post ^^^^. You can get quickly to downtown (I know the Hampton says Downtown but we don't really think of that Glenwood South area as downtown -- Moore Square, Fayetteville Street, Wilmington Street is more "downtown"). Slims is probably my favorite bar in Raleigh -- classic rock dive bar -- tiny and always great drinks and music. Pour House can be fun too.

    PJ - Bull City version...I visited the Hunky Dory store in Durham back in April and they had this sweet T-shirt...unfortunately only in a size small.  I asked the store owner if he could do another run of these shirts and he said it was an OTOTO with a local artist.  So, I just took a pic of it.  Maybe he'd reconsider with the band coming to town for the first time in 11 years...

    To each their own and no knocking on anyone who is into this kinda stuff, but personally I hate this kind of merch -- and Hunky Dory makes a LOT of it. And I don't see how it's not copyright violation because there's zero chance they actually attributed or compensated the original artist. I'd much rather see something original from Hunky Dory -- almost all of their merch are just ripped off from other popular designs.

    Thx! I actually went to Slims in 2016 when I should have been seeing PJ. 
    I was living near Charlotte at the time and frantically refreshing the ticket sites to see if I could score Columbia as a last minute replacement. Ended up getting floor for a decent price.

    It irritated me that they waited so long to do that -- and that folks like you had already made the trip out. It was like the day before that they announced, right?
