I assume you need 2 GA tickets? (I have 1 GA ticket)

Darn yeah, need two but if you're still interested in a trade closer to the show lets keep in touch if I don't find anyone with a pair.

I put in for GA or Reserved for the second show.  It'll be my first show since Greenville, I think in 2016.  I'm seemingly one of the few that prefer seating to GA, but I put in GA to increase my odds of getting selected.
I was at that Greenville show in 16, too. 10c landed us front row on the floor behind GA. It was sooo good. Got N2 in both Atlanta and Raleigh, see ya there!

PJ - Bull City version...I visited the Hunky Dory store in Durham back in April and they had this sweet T-shirt...unfortunately only in a size small.  I asked the store owner if he could do another run of these shirts and he said it was an OTOTO with a local artist.  So, I just took a pic of it.  Maybe he'd reconsider with the band coming to town for the first time in 11 years...
To each their own and no knocking on anyone who is into this kinda stuff, but personally I hate this kind of merch -- and Hunky Dory makes a LOT of it. And I don't see how it's not copyright violation because there's zero chance they actually attributed or compensated the original artist. I'd much rather see something original from Hunky Dory -- almost all of their merch are just ripped off from other popular designs

For clarification: The owner of Hunky Dory makes limited run t-shirts and stickers that are sold locally in each shop to honor the town and pay tribute to an iconic graphic or album cover. There’s no denying the original art and they are simple parodies. Most of them are tweaked to pay homage to a specific characteristic of Durham, Raleigh, or Cary - the 3 neighboring towns where his record shops are located.

To compare - it’s obvious to any lifelong skater over 50 that Jeff's MPS logos are an homage to iconic skate ralated graphics/fonts/imagery - primarily Tom Inouye’s, “Inouye’s Pool Service” that goes back to the late 1970’s. Hopefully, that is one of many reasons those trucker hats aren’t mass-produced for $29.95 preventing every non-skater in the parking lot from wearing one.

I’ll see y’all at the Raleigh shows.

I can't speak to Jeff's relationship with Wally, but I bet they're a lot closer than the owner of Hunky Dory is to David Bowie, or Pearl Jam, or whoever else whose album art or fonts they've incorporated in their designs.

Look, if you like it then cool. I don't. I'd much rather see more creativity and originality from a small business and last time I was there would have actually bought a t shirt and some stickers if there was anything original...but there wasn't.

Hunky Dory is a decent record store and they seem like good people. I just don't like parody merch. Same thing with the Goat (RIP) -- all their shirts were jack Daniels or jagermeister or some other rip off when I just want a shirt that says "The Goat Raleigh NC" with a local artist design.

And yeah...see you here in Raleigh for both shows. Wouldn't miss it for the world! How cool to have PJ do two nights in your hometown? (Yeah yeah I know it's normal for you folks who live in bigger cities but this is rare for us, so let us have this).

Raleigh is very spread out and the venue is anyway outside of the city so folks can save and stay just about anywhere within a certain radius. I booked the Red Roof in north Raleigh for 80$ a night, free parking. Only 4 miles from the venue.

Looks like the Four Points is sold out both nights too.

EDIT: It actually looks like there is availability but they're requiring a two-night stay minimum. It's a little more expensive than the Ramada but at least there are a few restaurants and bars nearby.

Assuming there's no other major event going on in that timeframe, these are good signs re demand.

So true -- those who got the Ramada will enjoy being able to walk back to the hotel after the show without dealing with Uber hell. But those who want to still hang out after would be better off staying downtown.

If you're at the Red Roof you're right by Crabtree Valley mall so lots of food options. There's a good little sushi joint down Glenwood called Sushi Mon -- small place with a limited menu but very good (a little pricey). North Hills shopping mall is the next exit down and has, in my opinion, better dining options than Crabtree. Lake Boone is between your hotel and the venue, and has some good dining options -- Chicken Salad Chick, Chubby's Tacos, Village Deli, Sushi Thai...

Luckily State's graduation is the week before. Duke and UNC are going to be over the same weekend but those folks should be out by Sunday. They will bleed into Raleigh. Not sure about the smaller schools (Campbell, Meredith, Shaw, NC Central).
Those that don't want to be there Sunday: ISO N1. :)

True. It's a short drive from the venue and really pretty much whatever I need. I used to live on Oberlin across from Cameron Village and I remember taking the bus to that mall!
I miss this one particular restaurant in downtown Raleigh called Fiction Kitchen. We used to go there all the time. Must swing by when I roll into town.

I booked rooms for both nights when the rumors started, I got Four Points by Sheraton for N1 and Ramada for N2, mainly because I want to drink and i cant if  have to drive home (30 min. away). Unfortunately the four points was $250 for one night. The ramada was cheaper for N2 at around $140ish.  I thought maybe walking would be better than having to deal with uber and judging from the comments I may be right?  I may end up letting go of the Ramada for n2 and not drinking and driving home that evening to save some money.  If i end up cancelling the N2 Ramada reservation I can post here first and let you know a time so someone can grab it maybe.

Should I cancel my Sheraton reservation and get something cheaper a bit further away and use uber or is it going to be hell?
