This line alone speaks very clearly to me. It reminds me of a love I once felt, felt for years. She left me, without giving a reason... On many nights, I can still feel her in my arms, feel her lips, and smell her scent. For a long while I had tried many things to get back with her, but it was a lost cause. I had lost my tracks.
I had been very broken up about this, and for some reason I listen to Pearl Jam like I'm getting paid for it during depression.
Once I had found a time where I could speak with her agian, I told her how I felt, which was something she had already know. (side note: It was so obvious, total strangers would have been able to look and know with 100% accuracy the exact person I was longing for.) I then told her I can not play this game anymore. I would not allow her to hold my heart by a choke collar while I sat back stuck as an observer. It was at that moment when I could once agian taste my own freedom.
Many of my poems in the poetry section of this forum are related to her, but not in a loving way. I still wear my crown of negativity and it will remain there until someone else comes along removes it for me, allowing me to fall into the tears I have yet to shed.
this just hit home for me....."allowing me to fall into the tears I have yet to shed".....thank you....believe it or not, we don't "need" anything. that is only the spoiled brat in us trying to fill some temporary solution to an emptyness that does not exist.

Yeh, this is an awesome song. Stone Gossard wrote it didn't he?‹(•¿•)›0

I never gave it much attention. I like the rocking songs a bit more. But eeing how I can relate to most of your stories, I guess I should check it out and really get the feel of it. Damn school! I'm stuck with AiC at the moment. I'll check it out first thing when I'm home.0

Nothing. Lowlight just doesn't touch me.ExTReMe FrEAk wrote:I still wear my crown of negativity and it will remain there until someone else comes along removes it for me, allowing me to fall into the tears I have yet to shed.
That about sums me up right now. Beautiful way of saying it.0 -

Actually, it was written by Mr. Cool Cat, Jeff Ament."Lobby tobacco companies. The tobacco companies are going to be in the same position as marijuana at some point. They might be allies before you know it."

low light is definitely a high lightI am questioning my education0

Love the beyonara version of low light. Does any one know what it is about?0

Low Light is a year or so after "Black" Black being the absence of all color. Time has rolled by and now its gone from no light to low light.0

I'm completely in love with this song, i want to put all my love towards this song, because i have no where else to put it, and this is the perfect place, because i adore this song. It calms me and is just so brilliant."But you see, you get more for your money with the big ones. It's like a two for one special."
That was the line I used when dating to convince girls they should like fat guys.

I too did not come to really appreciate it until Benaroya. For the life of me I
do not know why. Now I listen to it just about every night before I go to bed.0 -
This is my favorite PJ song, and my future wedding dance song. My fiance loves this song too!
I think out of all the PJ songs these lyrics are the most complex, but I have no doubt this is a love song and a song about the path of life.
The whole song is devoted to speaking of an individuals trek to stay on the path. The 'low light' is the spiritual light guiding one on the path...
"low light... side tracked... low light, can't see my tracks your scent way back".. This is a line about getting lost off this person's path and finding the way back through the scent of a loved one.
"Books and jeolousy tell me wrong, I will feel calm"... speaks for itself... clearly about love.
"low light... car crash... low light... can't wear my mask... your first... my last." This is a line about love too, in desperate times dependence makes loved ones vulnerable (hence with no mask)... the last part (your first... my last)... just sub in your first 'love'... my last 'love'..
"Two birds is what they'll see getting lost upon their way"... This is my favorite line... once again it's about the path and getting lost on it... but together... it's the outside world's viewing the relationship.
"Low light... eyesight... low light... I need the light... I'll find my way, from wrong... what's real?... OUR DREAM I SEE.." I think this sums it up perfectly, the couples dream... finding it through this spiritual light... staying on the path.. asking questions... finding answers...

It's one of my top 5 favorite PJ songs. It doesn't get enough love.
I agree with it being relaxing....it's just a beautiful song.Kansas City 6/12/03 ** Kissimmee 10/9/04 ** Atlantic City 10/1/05 ** Denver 7/2/06 ** Denver 7/3/06 ** Chicago 8/23/09 ** Chicago 8/24/09 ** Kansas City 5/3/10 ** Dallas 11/15/13 ** Oklahoma City 11/16/13 ** St. Louis 10/3/14 ** Tulsa 10/8/14 ** Chicago - Wrigley Field 8/20/16 ** Chicago - Wrigley Field 8/22/16 ** Oklahoma City 9/20/22 ** Ft. love this song!
You can tell the whole Yield album is a period of Eddie struggling with spirituality. This song is another testament to that.Kansas City 6/12/03 ** Kissimmee 10/9/04 ** Atlantic City 10/1/05 ** Denver 7/2/06 ** Denver 7/3/06 ** Chicago 8/23/09 ** Chicago 8/24/09 ** Kansas City 5/3/10 ** Dallas 11/15/13 ** Oklahoma City 11/16/13 ** St. Louis 10/3/14 ** Tulsa 10/8/14 ** Chicago - Wrigley Field 8/20/16 ** Chicago - Wrigley Field 8/22/16 ** Oklahoma City 9/20/22 ** Ft. For me it is more of a melancholy feeling - kind of like everything is a blur. Everything has not quite enough light since she has been gone.
Although she is gone, still "Your dream I see."
Perhaps there was actually a car crash. He is just sort of moving along in a haze - in shock that he can be here all alone.0 -
i'm mostly reminded of the segment of svt with this song... really cool."Of course it hurts. You're getting fucked by an elephant."0
