    I wouldn't mind seeing them if they came close to me and tix weren't outrageous but I don't think they are coming any closer than Chicago.

    I really like a few of their songs but I'm just not familiar with the rest of their catalog. I do envision them either breaking up again or Liam just being a total ass the whole time which would ruin it for me.

    It will be a thing to go see Oasis during the summer and in the major US cities, even for casual fans. I will not pay a high price to see them at a stadium. I suspect that it will not be too hard to get a ticket close to the shows. But it will be interesting to see if the announcement about dynamic pricing comes to fruition or if it is just PR.

    We were talking about Toronto (only Canadian date) or Los Angeles (closer date).  I put in for the draw.. you never know.

    At this point in my life, Oasis is one of the few bands I've never seen that I can actually go see. Most of the time I'm going to bands now it's for the 5, 6th, or 30th time.  Knocking a new one off the list gets rarer.

    See how much the tickets are and what not.

    Kind of feels like the first GNR reunion tour.  We went to the first date around here just in case they imploded again, but here they are doing the 5th lap of the same tour :)
    Isn't it just 50,000 people at Rogers Stadium (not Centre! Not Place!) in GA with likely a second night added once it sells out? Just wait until the night before and people will be dumping at reasonable prices.

    There was on the leaked itinerary. The announced dates match what was on there, so I guess if/when they announce Gillette depends on how these shows sell.

    They had a window where they made some great rock music. What's the Story Morning Glory is a great record. Noel can play and write songs and Liam was a good frontman. If you ever see the 96 Knebworth performances they were huge and the music was good. Like many great bands they could not keep it together. It will be interesting to see how this reunion and the ticket sales play out. I am interested but I will not work that hard to go see them.

    As ever its a case of each to their own, they were an absolute force out here in the Uk in the 1990's. Some incredible records and music that resonated with a generation, music that has since transcended that generation and is still popular with the youth out here in the Uk. Quite simply they were absolutely huge out here. They made music that connected with a wide cross section of the population, huge sing a long tracks. They had attitude (perhaps not the best ones) an arrogance and that all made it pretty compelling. 

    Its interesting that they never had that impact across the pond but out here the question of an Oasis reunion has been raised every year since they split. Every interview, it was asked, and the legend grew and grew. The hype and hysteria over the renewal shows has been insane, the ticket sales were crazy. All in all people are going to lap it up. I didn't get tickets sadly, but I absolutely wish i did. 

    Artists like Oasis just don't come around every day. I cannot think of an emerging band in the last 15 years who are even close to that.

    I think they did not have the same enthusiasm for live shows in the US that they did for the UK. The unplugged disaster probably hurt them. There was a point where you did not know what your were going to get when you bought a ticket to an Oasis show in the US. That unplugged show definitely put me off from wanting to see them live.

    I think Oasis was bigger in Canada than the US, but the only time I remember them playing Vancouver '96, they left after playing 30 minutes because people were throwing shit on stage.   They were definitely volatile.

    I was surprised to learn how big of a venues they were playing in the US last go round in 2008/9. 

    I saw them at the Chicago Theater in 2002/3 or something. They were popular in the US. Less so post SOTSOG. But clearly they were shifting into legacy act at the end. 15 years of nothing, demand will be there. Don't know if they have the juice for second shows iN Chicago or adding the Boston show, but I think at the least they'll sell out whats been announced. Secondary prices will be reasonable if not slightly below face by showtime. But I think they will sell out.

    Went to the Aug 27 ‘08 show in Vancouver at Rogers Arena. Lower bowl full, pockets of people in the upper, attendance around 11,000. We were side-stage by the sound board, Liam came over there numerous times to drink water and rest for a minute or so. Not any banter at all except a hello vancouver from Noel, but it was a great show. Massive sing alongs, we had an awesome time
