Sigh. The words "Orange Man Bad" have never escaped my lips (or fingertips). And the only times I've ever heard them are from Trump supporters purporting to characterize the views of those who don't support Trump. I don't know what's in the minds of those who express themselves this way, but it seems to me that they don't really have a response to many of the criticisms of Trump, so they reduce them to a caricature and ignore the specifics, which are indefensible.teskeinc said:

I would think even maybe smart hardcore republicans would just sit this one out to get rid of this guy from their party.
Here is a big propaganda operation that pretty much the entire far left fell for and still believe: Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation. Joe said it, Harris said, 51 former "intelligence" officers said it. If you still believe it, you have a big propaganda susceptibility problem.
Hunter’s laptop existed. Yes, we know that. The contents of which was what was in question. Turns out to have been a nothing burder but you fell for the propaganda that it proved Brandon’s corruption. I can’t wait for the October surprise. “10% to the big guy” proves this.
"He tried to steal the last election ("find me 11,780 votes") and still has not conceded it is not "Orange Man Bad." "He attempted to extort a foreign leader to obtain dirt on his political opponent" is not "Orange Man Bad." "He wants to abandon the alliances that have maintained stability and order in much of the world for over 75 years" is not "Orange Man Bad." "He wants to pardon a bunch of traitors who stormed the Capitol" is not "Orange Man Bad." "He completely mishandled a public-health emergency" is not "Orange Man Bad." "He lies, all the time, about everything" is not "Orange Man Bad." "He is a person of the lowest character" is not "Orange Man Bad," though I'll admit that it is "Man Bad," and call me crazy for thinking that we should avoid giving power to bad people. And we're not talking about a person with flaws. We all have flaws. This is a singularly mendacious and self-centered individual. If you cannot see that, you are blind. Or, if you do see that and don't care, you are reckless.
When you say. “Wow! Harris proposed a price control on grocery policy that even liberal publications are saying is right out of the communist playbook.” “I don’t think that’s going to be good for the country.”
Instead of replies disagreeing with a counter argument you get from the usual posters (Jose, Halisak, Gimmesomelies, Germs etc.) “Trump is a rapist, convicted felon, went bankrupt had 3 wives etc etc. etc.” It’s when someone is so far left they are unable to debate an issue so they just pivot to how bad Trump is. That’s what “Orange Man Bad” is. Akin to Whataboutism.
These are people who only vote on emotion. They need the President to be their friend. That’s what the Harris campaign appeals to. Voters who don’t care about policy, are voting for Good Vibes and if Kamala wants to take them down the communist path they will find away to justify its a great idea because their hate of the Orange Man is stronger than what policy may be right for the country.

You let us know when Kamala Kontrols grocery prices, okay? See, we know she doesn’t have a chance in hell of controlling grocery prices just like we knew Mexico wouldn’t pay for the wall. Talk about being duped, good lord.teskeinc said:

So take a stroll through a forest and think about what kind of a person you are.Post edited by Spiritual_Chaos on"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -

Character matters to Democrats, not to modern Republicans - who are now the party of Trump, full stop. Character dictates whether someone will exploit the population or serve them. When one of two parties shows itself to have no standards or concern in this regard so long as they get (insert single issue here), their criticism of the other side should and will be ignored. If Democrats are fixated with the guy who denigrated modern US politics, it’s the fault of the party who saw that and asked for more.teskeinc said:

Donald TrumpReminder of another Harris/Biden example of incompetence and lies: The Afghanistan withdraw that left 13 Americans dead, billions of military equipment left behind for the Taliban, and a drone strike that killed adults and seven children. Harris/Biden initially saying it had been necessary to prevent an Islamic State attack on troops. The Pentagon had not acknowledged the mistaken strike until a week after a Times investigation of video evidence challenged assertions by the military that it had struck a vehicle carrying explosives meant for Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul. Once again, Harris/Biden lied to the American people for weeks about this, including their supporters who apparently don't care. Fine people wherever they are.0

Kamala Harris
Oh I forgot, the military just started making mistakes in 2021 and not being transparent with Americans. That's a new thing, right? I mean I couldn't possibly find evidence of that any other point in US military history where the Pentagon changed or adjusted its story. Trump is obviously immune to such deception.Philly NJ said:Reminder of another Harris/Biden example of incompetence and lies: The Afghanistan withdraw that left 13 Americans dead, billions of military equipment left behind for the Taliban, and a drone strike that killed adults and seven children. More GOP fraud...in coordination with the tRump campaign I'm sureWASHINGTON (AP) — A group of lawyers with deep ties to the Republican Party scrambled over the weekend to rescue an effort to get independent presidential candidate Cornel West on the Arizona ballot, offering one of the clearest examples yet of the GOP’s extensive involvement in furthering the left-wing academic’s long-shot bid.
As a deadline loomed to submit the needed paperwork, two well-known Republican lawyers in the state and a GOP attorney working to get West on the ballot elsewhere learned that two of their would-be electors — Jerry Judie and Denisha Mitchell — were not interested in fulfilling the role. The electors’ decisions led to a barrage of text messages and phone calls looking to keep the operation alive. When those efforts failed, two Republican lawyers visited Judie’s and Mitchell’s homes, seemingly seeking to persuade them to reconsider.
This work appears to be part of a broader effort by conservative activists and Republican-aligned operatives across the country to push West’s candidacy and subvert the integrity of the ballot in the months leading up to November’s presidential election. Republicans are eager for West to be a spoiler in the 2024 presidential election by syphoning away voters who would probably support the Democratic nominee otherwise.

Yesterday was a literal disaster. She just added a communist talking point to her empty platform. Price control on an industry that profits are 1.6%. Not Apple whose profits are north of 20%.Nixon tried this in the 70s. He froze wages and prices for 90 days. It worked short term, inflation slowed. He eased those restrictions, inflation returned. Nixon imposed stricter regulations, this time it failed leading to the greatest inflation of all time. Out of control until Reagan was able to curb it.
We are heading down that road again. Kamala’s plan would push us over the edge. The solution is stop printing money and artificially
trying to manipulate things. Lower energy costs and cost of doing business. More production of goods is paramount to slowing or stopping inflation. Not government handout programs or price controls.
Paul Volcker tamed inflation, not Reagan. The funny thing is that, in November 1984-- when Reagan was reelected in a landslide because it was "Morning in America"-- unemployment was at 7.2 percent and inflation was over 4 percent, whereas unemployment is currently at 4.3 percent and inflation is at 2.9 percent. Thanks, Joe and Kamala!Apple Music is 100% essential!
for fans who enjoy collectibles, vintage albums or a specific version of a recording, streaming services are trouble. But for simpletons like me, not needing to drive to a store, track down albums not stocked, ripping the cd to mp3, transferring to phone, copying a backup onto a hard drive, that’s alot for an old dude like me. And less wasteful for the environment!
Comparatively speaking, renting on Apple Music provides a larger reach than buying every video streaming service for shows and films, as there are a lot of of that not available to stream. Having hundreds of PJ or Dead shows available at any time wherever I go? Worth it just for that. One of the artists I follow, David Lowery of Cracker is against streaming because of the low royalties. I get that. The last time I bought one of that bands CDs was when they last released one, 11 years ago. But every time I listen to their songs, they get a revenue stream they wouldn’t otherwise be getting from me.0 -
