Yesterday was a literal disaster. She just added a communist talking point to her empty platform. Price control on an industry that profits are 1.6%. Not Apple whose profits are north of 20%.
Nixon tried this in the 70s. He froze wages and prices for 90 days. It worked short term, inflation slowed. He eased those restrictions, inflation returned. Nixon imposed stricter regulations, this time it failed leading to the greatest inflation of all time. Out of control until Reagan was able to curb it. We are heading down that road again. Kamala’s plan would push us over the edge.
The solution is stop printing money and artificially trying to manipulate things. Lower energy costs and cost of doing business. More production of goods is paramount to slowing or stopping inflation. Not government handout programs or price controls.

for fans who enjoy collectibles, vintage albums or a specific version of a recording, streaming services are trouble. But for simpletons like me, not needing to drive to a store, track down albums not stocked, ripping the cd to mp3, transferring to phone, copying a backup onto a hard drive, that’s alot for an old dude like me. And less wasteful for the environment!
Comparatively speaking, renting on Apple Music provides a larger reach than buying every video streaming service for shows and films, as there are a lot of of that not available to stream. Having hundreds of PJ or Dead shows available at any time wherever I go? Worth it just for that.
One of the artists I follow, David Lowery of Cracker is against streaming because of the low royalties. I get that. The last time I bought one of that bands CDs was when they last released one, 11 years ago. But every time I listen to their songs, they get a revenue stream they wouldn’t otherwise be getting from me.
