    Would record level domestic energy production lower energy costs? 
    i would think so. that is my gripe. we are drilling more domestic oil than we ever have before, but gas is still over 3 bucks a gallon. i don't get why. it would have to be price gouging i would think.
    Refining oil to gas and the costs of doing that may be a factor as well. Crude oil is also about double what it was 5 years ago. So that’s a market/OPEC thing, not a president thing.

    he keeps bringing up how small the margins are for grocety stores.

    bad faith argument. the price control thing targets the manufacturers. reducing the wholesale cost, thereby reducing the retail cost. guess what happens then? grocery stores still make a 1.6% margin. yes by extension profit is reduced but so fucking what. they still make profit margin.

    A legal work program is fine. I don’t think anyone has a problem with legal immigration. People have a problem with 10 million, maybe more coming across illegally, un-vetted.

    Oh that's rich, coming from the party that doesn't want to tax tips and thinks that the federal gov't should control oil output, export rules and price.  

    BTW, no one prints fucking money.  That's not what the fed does.  Go look up "quantitative easing" if you want to understand money supply.

    Apple's products are not essentials. Even if you think you need a smartphone (which you don't), there are much cheaper alternatives to the iPhone. (And I say this as someone who has made a lot of money owning AAPL.)

    Paul Volcker tamed inflation, not Reagan. The funny thing is that, in November 1984-- when Reagan was reelected in a landslide because it was "Morning in America"-- unemployment was at 7.2 percent and inflation was over 4 percent, whereas unemployment is currently at 4.3 percent and inflation is at 2.9 percent.
