The men’s 4x100 was a disaster.  The commentator interviewing them at the end was an absolute prick and I’m glad they didn’t bite to his baiting questions.  F that guy.

Womens Gold medal bball was atrocious.  I have never watched a full wnba game nor a women’s Olympics game until now and know why I don’t watch it.  From what the announcers said this was their worst game they’ve played in forever.  =Yeah I noticed. Cool that the GOAT DT got her 6th Gold Medal.  6!!!

The world has either caught up w us at this point in Basketball or we still dont have the killer instinct in enough of our guys.  LBJ and Steph brought it this time.  If not for them we’d have silver.

Soccer gold medal match.  That Rodman girl can play.  She has another gear built in her.

I watched some of the diving and China is the OP there.

Biles, Ladecky, Faulkner, McGlauhlin, Tarasi.  All have my utmost respect.  They have done it multiple times.

I didn’t get to see any Long to triple jump competitions.  I always loved them. Google be my friend, lol.

Highlights for anyone?  Cole Hocker for me in the 1500. Oh and dude that broke his own record in Pole Vault, Duplantis.

Olyslagers for Australia and her fire before a high jump was cool to see.  Loved it.

Cuban wrestler winning his 5th gold in 5 Olympics was amazing.

Cuba's legendary wrestler Mijain Lopez is retiring at the pinnacle of his career, where he's remained for 16 years. Lopez has personified greatness in wrestling as he is the only athlete to win 5 gold medals in 5 separate Games in his event. The Cuban wrestler claimed his first Olympic gold in 2008 and achieved a historic fifth consecutive victory on Tuesday in the 130-kilogram Greco-Roman wrestling division.

With this win, he became the first athlete to win an individual event five times at the Olympics.

Noah Lyles was also making some waves with his comments

I have always kind of felt the same way that the pro sports are not truly word champions despite claiming so (NBA,MLB,NHL) . Yes the US men’s basketball team are OLYMPIC champions now, but I believe Germany is technically world (FIBA) champions.

i also read and article where he was chirping Reebok on a shoe deal with Anthony Edwards of the T Wolves.

    brash kid for sure

There was a good light show, cirque de soliel performanes, a bit of music and now podium speeches.

I'm glad you got to see it!
I'll try to find highlights later  (and then continue my search for a place to live that is more civilized, LOL!)

Closing ceremonies. Phoenix was cool but where the fuck was Daft Punk?  And Gojira?  I wanted them one last time...
Seeing skateboarder Jagger carry the flag was cool as hell. Tom Cruise not so much...  The rings in hollywood was cool.  Michael Johnson, cool.  Chili Peppers?  Hell yeah.  If my uncle had told Keidis in 85 when he arrested him in LA that he would be singing as the opening for the olympics he would have asked for another hit...

The break dance thing was ridiculous. I'm not sure how that is even an event. Maybe I'm just an old codger but I think I could have medaled by drinking a pot of coffee and writhing around

Really sad to see Chiles is having her bronze stripped when the IOC had the opportunity to give both Romania and her a bronze due to the judges failures. Yes, they were 4 seconds past time for the inquiry, but also, the judges fucked up so if I was Romania, I'd be a bit embarrassed to take the sole bronze over a technicality and not due to performance.
    Exactly
Have a special little ceremony, award a bronze to both young ladies, APOLOGIZE PROFUSELY for the judges error.

Wouldn't that be more in the "Spirit" of the games?
Totally! But the IOC is a bunch of stiffs

    It's a hopeless situation...

It is dumb, but then DVD are region specific as well because the machines in various areas are different.  And power outlets vary from in different parts of the world.
What Plugs Are Used in Different Countries

That just never made sense to me.
