If you haven't been following the mens 1500 drama here it is.
The two main shit talkers of the 1500 elites Kerr and Ingrebrigsten have been battling it out on twitter. Kerr was the winner of the last competition but Ingber made a statement in the semis by finishing first. There was this American guy named Cole Hocker.  They said he might win it all.  Well he did.  What a race he ran.

HUGE leg kick the last 200m or so.  Another American Nuguse whom wasn't expected to medal dug deep and willed a final kick to get Bronze.

What a friggin race. Watch it!

Oh yeah and womens McGlaughlin 400m hurdle champ dusted her competition.  Watch her in the finals Thursday against newcomer Bol. Should be a good race but Sydney should wreck it.

A big hole in womens track is the 800m champ Athing Mu.  She fell in the trials.  I'm surprised she didn't come over as an alternate.I don't know enough about olympic politics to know...

That 1500m final yesterday was electric.  I actually caught it live during the day.  Funny to hear all the talk about the 2 favorites talking shit on twitter and then Hocker came out of nowhere to win it....what a finish!  And the other USA guy took bronze and missed silver by .01!

McLuaghlin looks unbeatable in the 400 hurdles.  She makes it look so easy.

    That was an insane race!

Complete and utter DOMINATION. I am wondering why the rest of the world bothered to show up?

    They didnt let Russia compete!
That’s what happens when you invade another country I feel for the athletes that work hard but Putin is to blame the athletes know that but they can’t protest him! They’re all be in Siberia in a camp.
    *invade another european country

The US was sadly allowed to compete during their illegal war in Iraq.
    I agree.

women's 10,000m race was pretty exciting. I was very surprised that the Italian got silver. The Americans were in it until the last lap. Great race ladies!

It's amazing how every other USA relay team is great besides the mens 4x100.  Women's 4 x400 today was incredible.

Really sad to see Chiles is having her bronze stripped when the IOC had the opportunity to give both Romania and her a bronze due to the judges failures. Yes, they were 4 seconds past time for the inquiry, but also, the judges fucked up so if I was Romania, I'd be a bit embarrassed to take the sole bronze over a technicality and not due to performance.
    It's a hopeless situation...

    Exactly
Have a special little ceremony, award a bronze to both young ladies, APOLOGIZE PROFUSELY for the judges error.

Wouldn't that be more in the "Spirit" of the games?

If they were late then they shouldn't have been able to file a inquiry?

    I agree with Speedy.

All we get is YouTube streaming and all they show is a continuous steady cam shot of the audience.  So I get to see people watching the closing events.  Woo hoo...
