We bought last minute tickets inside the pavilion and they were much better than I had expected. I would not go out of my way to see them again, but it was something to do the night we arrived in Indy.Gern Blansten said:

Totally agree! Something to do the night before. They were okay.. think I was more excited to see the size of the pit than anything else! Lolwashed in black said:

That's part of the reason we went... to check out the venue and see where our seats are. But, we are huge Interpol fans so if SP sucked that bad, we could just leave since we were mainly there to see Interpol. We did start walking out during the last song; I was surprised we stayed practically to the end. But, it gave us an idea of what to expect after PJ playspjbugs007 said:

Interpol I thought was better than SP. doesn’t seem like a bad seat to be had. A typical outdoor venue a bit confusing with the parking lots tho!washed in black said:

I wonder what kind of stage setup they'll have at DC? I saw them in Portland and that new screen is huge...and seems to be a better setup for an arena show (not sure it would "fit" within the stage dimensions of an amphitheater). Plus, there is already a video screen on the wall on both sides of the stage. Oh well, guess we'll find out

Hopefully they dont use one. Set would benefit from it.flanosmasseur said:I wonder what kind of stage setup they'll have at DC? My guess is they will just use the middle section. The side sections won't fit.
That pit is going to be great. We lucked out and got pit tix from 10cRemember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

That pit is going to be great. We lucked out and got pit tix from 10cYeah, could be the case. Use the middle section for the video collages and the two side screens in the pavilion (and three screens in the lawn) for video of the band. I actually wouldn't mind that kind of setup.I'm super stoked! I'm in Sec A, about four rows from the pit, and close to Sec B. Was debating whether to offer a Pit/Reserved trade but having a seat allows for easier ingress/egress.

Normally I'm in the PIT (and hang out in the back like you), but spent both nights with friends in the lawn...so I never made it down to the pavilion-area restrooms, vendors, etc. They have such a great setup at the back of the amphitheater that there was no need.I've been to a ton of amphitheaters across the U.S. and don't think any of them have the setup that DC has behind the lawn (food/drinks/restrooms/merch). It's one the best, if the THE best, amphitheaters in the country IMHO. I'm local so I may be a little biased lolPost edited by flanosmasseur on07/28/1992 - Cincinnati

I recognize your profile pic from the WH boards. 100+ DMB shows for me, but I was active duty Air Force for 22 years and and was lucky enough to be stationed close to venues they always came through (eight years in WA...lots of DMB Labor Day Gorge shows...and was able to catch PJ there in '06).Fingers crossed that you're able to score a ticket drop for DC. You will not be disappointed.Post edited by flanosmasseur on07/28/1992 - Cincinnati

I agree...they really did some great improvements and that area behind the lawn was much needed. It took a lot of the restroom traffic away from the areas off to the sides.flanosmasseur said:Gern Blansten said:

I just went to a show in Cincy at Riverbend. God awful outdoor venue. The pavilion sections are not labeled and you have to walk all the way around the edges to get concessionsRemember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)
