I definitely hear "Deplore the dialogue" and "display distaste". Which seem to match each other thematically.93: Slane

I think it might be "There's blame to shame".
I'm also not hearing the s in "happens" so I think that it might be "No one knows what happened next". And so that indecipherable verse might be in the past tense. Because to me, it sounds like it started "I once... "93: Slane

I think that middle line of the chorus might be “Display cliches”. It fits thematically, and if I listen with that in mind I literally can’t hear anything else. 🤷🏻♂️

Take my blood from my heart, that's not right, the final words hmm. Oh it's plural 'hearts'.
This is a tricky song to sing!Post edited by Brisk. on0 -
I’ve got the vocals isolated and can share the file if anyone wants it. Even with that I’m having a hard time with a couple parts. But here’s what I have so far. Things I’m not sure about are in parentheses. But one thing I am sure of … he doesn’t say King Diamond.Isolated vocals location: https://app.box.com/s/5xd1iu0ldvzeu6862g8xid5whgzksswk
I put the vocals and isolated music there in case anyone want a karaoke version, LOL.Take the light from our eyes.
Take the blood from our hearts.
We’re in all of this … Dark matter.
Take the breath from my chest.
Take the thoughts in our mind.
We’re losing time … Dark matter.
Denounce the demagogue’s (kingdom to destroy).
Deploy the dialogue, your word against the law!
It’s strange these days when everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake.
(His blame, deep state), still everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake.
You’re running away,
though pulling apart.
Then all of this … Dark matter.
(I want you to sin.
And step on my head.)
Or is it the press? No one knows what everything is.
Renounce the demigods (…?)
Deploy the dialogue, your word against the law!
It’s strange these days when everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake.
(His brain, deep state), still everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake.
No tolerance for, intolerance or,
No patience left for, impatience no more,
No love lost for, lost loves.
No sorrow (here) for, The unaccountable.
It’s strange these days when everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake.
(This blame, takes shape), still everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake.

“Arrested the press, no one knows what happened next” end of second verse, but I have no idea what the line before it is0

Taking a stab at it. I'm sure some of these are wrong, but it's another take to work from:
Steal the light from her eyes
Thinned the blood from my heart once
When all of it's dark matter
Take the breath from my chest
Put the thoughts in her mind (Put the thoughts into my mind?)
We're losing time, dark matter
Denounce the demagogues
King diamond to discard
Deploy the dialogue
Your word against the law
It's strange these days
When everybody else pays
For someone else's mistake
Display cliches (Diss, blame, cliches?)
Til everybody else pays
For someone else's mistake
You're running away
We're pulling apart
In all of this dark matter
I once heard a saying
and it stuck in my head
Arrested the press
No one knows what happened next
Renounce the demigods
Kinged island to destroy
Deploy the dialogue
Your word against the law
It's strange these days
When everybody else pays
For someone else's mistake
Display cliches (Diss, blame, cliches?)
Til everybody else pays
For someone else's mistake
No tolerance for intolerance or
No patience left for impatience no more
No love lost for lost loves
No sorrow for the unaccountable
It's strange these days
When everybody else pays
For someone else's mistake
This blame, cliches (Diss, blame, cliches?)
Til everybody else pays
For someone else's mistake
The more I listen to all the choruses, the more I think "Diss, blame, cliches" might be all of them.Post edited by EH14457 on10/7/96 (FL), 9/22/98 (FL), 9/23/98 (FL), 8/9/00 (FL), 8/10/00 (FL), 8/12/00 (FL), 4/11/03 (FL), 4/12/03 (FL), 4/13/03 (FL), 7/8/03 (NY), 7/9/03 (NY), 7/12/03 (PA), 7/14/03 (NJ), 10/8/04 (FL), 8/5/07 (IL), 11/27/12 (FL), 12/6/13 (WA), 4/8/16 (FL), 4/9/16 (FL), 4/11/16 (FL), 8/5/16 (MA), 8/22/16 (IL), 8/8/18 (WA), 8/10/18 (WA), 9/25/21 (CA), 9/26/21 (CA), 5/3/22 (CA), 5/12/22 (CA), 5/13/22 (CA), 9/18/23 (TX), 9/19/23 (TX), 10/23/23 (WA), 10/24/23 (WA), 5/28/24 (WA), 5/30/24 (WA), 4/24/25 (FL), 4/26/25 (FL), 4/29/25 (GA), 5/1/25 (GA)

I updated the original post.I gather speed from you fucking with me.0

It’s for sure “deploy the dialog …”
99.9% sure. I’ve looped it over and over. And it fits thematically. As in “use your words/voices” against the “law”.Post edited by smysteryman on0
