I’ve got the vocals isolated and can share the file if anyone wants it. Even with that I’m having a hard time with a couple parts. But here’s what I have so far. Things I’m not sure about are in parentheses. But one thing I am sure of … he doesn’t say King Diamond.
Taking a stab at it. I'm sure some of these are wrong, but it's another take to work from:
Steal the light from her eyes Thinned the blood from my heart once When all of it's dark matter
Take the breath from my chest Put the thoughts in her mind (Put the thoughts into my mind?) We're losing time, dark matter
Denounce the demagogues King diamond to discard Deploy the dialogue Your word against the law
It's strange these days When everybody else pays For someone else's mistake Display cliches (Diss, blame, cliches?) Til everybody else pays For someone else's mistake
You're running away We're pulling apart In all of this dark matter
I once heard a saying and it stuck in my head Arrested the press No one knows what happened next
Renounce the demigods Kinged island to destroy Deploy the dialogue Your word against the law
It's strange these days When everybody else pays For someone else's mistake Display cliches (Diss, blame, cliches?) Til everybody else pays For someone else's mistake
No tolerance for intolerance or No patience left for impatience no more No love lost for lost loves No sorrow for the unaccountable
It's strange these days When everybody else pays For someone else's mistake This blame, cliches (Diss, blame, cliches?) Til everybody else pays For someone else's mistake
The more I listen to all the choruses, the more I think "Diss, blame, cliches" might be all of them.
I definitely feel like demagogues fits better than demigods.
I’m struggling with this one so kudos to everyone who has figured parts of it out. A friend said this one is harder to figure out than Yellow Ledbetter and I tend to agree. I don’t normally have issues figuring out an entire song.
Steal the light from our eyes Drain the blood from our hearts In all of this dark matter Take the breath from our chest Break the thoughts in our mind We're losing time, dark matter
Denounce the demigods King diamond to discard Deploy the dialogue Your word against the law
It's strange these days When everybody else pays For someone else's mistake This blame takes shape Still everybody else pays For someone else's mistake
Eroding away We're pulling apart In all of this dark matter I once heard it said And it stuck in my head Arrested the press No one knows what happened next
Renounce the demagogues King diamond to discard Deploy the dialogue Your word against the law
It's strange these days When everybody else pays For someone else's mistake This blame takes shape Still everybody else pays For someone else's mistake

"Or is it depresh?" Need to wait and see if Gary Gulman got a writing credit.
Gary Gulman is the best. I saw him do nearly two full hours on consecutive nights at Largo here in L.A. a month ago. (That's two hours each night, mind you.) Amazing as always. It was especially interesting to see how he approached the material differently from one night to the next, and how his digressive style meant that there were some jokes that either got told or didn't get told depending on where his stream of consciousness (and the audience response) took him.

He is one of my favorites since seeing the Depresh special and how much he went into detail about his past.
Did you see his latest special that went up on Max right before Christmas, Born on Third Base? Unfortunately, it is cut down to a little over an hour from the two hours of material he was doing live that was all killer. But it's still great.
And his book that came out in October, Misfit, is also excellent.

The lyrics now show up on my I-phone when I stream it on Apple music and the above is 100% correct. Nice job! Now what does this song actually mean?

Yes, if you look above in the thread, you'll see that the final lyrics came from Apple Music when LizJ pointed out that they had been published there. My final draft was not anywhere near 100 percent correct. Once the official lyrics were available, I replaced my draft in the original post with the actual lyrics. I deserve no credit for actually deciphering them. I still had them saying "lick the dirt off Olajuwon's feet."

This is a tricky song to sing!
I put the vocals and isolated music there in case anyone want a karaoke version, LOL.
Take the light from our eyes.
Take the blood from our hearts.
We’re in all of this … Dark matter.
Take the breath from my chest.
Take the thoughts in our mind.
We’re losing time … Dark matter.
Denounce the demagogue’s (kingdom to destroy).
Deploy the dialogue, your word against the law!
It’s strange these days when everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake.
(His blame, deep state), still everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake.
You’re running away,
though pulling apart.
Then all of this … Dark matter.
(I want you to sin.
And step on my head.)
Or is it the press? No one knows what everything is.
Renounce the demigods (…?)
Deploy the dialogue, your word against the law!
It’s strange these days when everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake.
(His brain, deep state), still everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake.
No tolerance for, intolerance or,
No patience left for, impatience no more,
No love lost for, lost loves.
No sorrow (here) for, The unaccountable.
It’s strange these days when everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake.
(This blame, takes shape), still everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake.
Steal the light from her eyes
Thinned the blood from my heart once
When all of it's dark matter
Take the breath from my chest
Put the thoughts in her mind (Put the thoughts into my mind?)
We're losing time, dark matter
Denounce the demagogues
King diamond to discard
Deploy the dialogue
Your word against the law
It's strange these days
When everybody else pays
For someone else's mistake
Display cliches (Diss, blame, cliches?)
Til everybody else pays
For someone else's mistake
You're running away
We're pulling apart
In all of this dark matter
I once heard a saying
and it stuck in my head
Arrested the press
No one knows what happened next
Renounce the demigods
Kinged island to destroy
Deploy the dialogue
Your word against the law
It's strange these days
When everybody else pays
For someone else's mistake

No tolerance for intolerance or
No patience left for impatience no more
No love lost for lost loves
No sorrow for the unaccountable
It's strange these days
When everybody else pays
For someone else's mistake
This blame, cliches (Diss, blame, cliches?)
Til everybody else pays
For someone else's mistake

99.9% sure. I’ve looped it over and over. And it fits thematically. As in “use your words/voices” against the “law”.

I was right about there being one "demigods" and one "demagogues," but I had them backwards!
Kudos to JR86440 who figured out "king diamond to discard."
And his book that came out in October, Misfit, is also excellent.
