    Do completely new albums come out on RSD? Is that a common thing?

    Conjecture. As legitimate as any other random date floating around I suppose.

    i would wonder why over two months is the timeline. Of course that’s how they did it with Gig but…..I’m not sure why. Time will tell…

    I think the first Painted Shield album might have debuted on RSD that year and then was available elsewhere. I think it was listed as RSD first.

    Wasn’t there rumours it would be released on 5th April and linked to the eclipse. If so the Vampire Weekend have already stolen a march and used this idea first

    I'm guessing prior to. RSD release might be a variant edition. 10club will probably have a fanclub exclusive variant & regular black vinyl edition for pre order in the days ahead.
