Do completely new albums come out on RSD? Is that a common thing?

If you look at the timeline of when Gigaton was announced/released it makes total sense that it would be that weekend. Gigaton was revealed January 10th and released March 27th. If we get an official reveal tomorrow, then that lines up pretty well with the timing, give or take a week.
also, think of the history of this band and how much support they’ve put into Record Store Day. This is great for local business, a match made in heaven. Having it be on 4/20 doesn’t hurt either!
I have a good feeling about this!
Hi, I host a Pearl Jam Podcast. We go back to some of the classic shows in their history and break down the entire setlist front to back. From historic perspective, to performances, to setlist construction, to fan stories. We do our best to capture the magic that is their live act and help you relive those memories, or if you weren't there, maybe turn you on to a show you've never heard before.
Live On 4 Legs can be found on Apple Podcast, Spotify and any other major podcast platform. But please support our website and check out the episodes archived there. Oh, and the Concertpedia as well (for you Five Horizons and Two Feet Thick fans, we've picked up where they've left off)
Wasn’t there rumours it would be released on 5th April and linked to the eclipse. If so the Vampire Weekend have already stolen a march and used this idea first

For no reason at all, I feel like it’s coming out before then and this will be a variant

so we can expect to purchase here as 10C members prior to OR about the same time...
I'm guessing prior to. RSD release might be a variant edition. 10club will probably have a fanclub exclusive variant & regular black vinyl edition for pre order in the days ahead.
*Deme posted how the Tragically Hip are this year's RECORD STORE DAY ambassadors.
Record store day? Is that a thing where Canada's PM can go surf Tofino again?
That's my wedding anniversary
That's too far away..please not that long
You got married on 4/20? That’s hilarious!

The wording of this item is not reliable. "Anticipated" and "expected" are filler words that are not sourced to anyone. Who anticipates or expects this? If there were any credence to that sentence, they would use much more definitive words. Note that the item does not say that the band indicated anything about the release date at the listening event.

Yeah, this info seems totally unfounded. None of the articles about the event mentioned a release date, and the YouTube live stream guy said there was no release date given.

it will be out earlier
