We absolutely cannot move on to stage 4 (stressing about set length) of the tour cycle yetZen23 said:But then they'd better be on stage by 7:30 p.m. at the latest. The noise protection regulations of the city of Berlin for bands like Pearl Jam say that it ends at 10 pm. Then they also don't have to stop songs in the middle.0 -
I'm sorry. But Berlin just bugs me in this respect.

In 2018 they playef from 19.56 till 22.31, so the curfew is created after that0 -
As far as I remember, the curfew was earlier in 2022 because they allowed for more shows after covid.Robbert said:

I once read an interesting newspaper article on the subject in a German newspaper. The 10 pm curfew in Berlin also applied before COVID. However, a distinction was made on a case-by-case basis as to whether an extended curfew was necessary for the event. After COVID, this has been dealt with more strictly. The city of Berlin set the curfew for "disruptive rock bands" at 10 pm. Whereas quieter artists, as well as "artists of special importance" like the Berlin Symphony Orchestra are allowed to play longer.

The 2010 Wuhlheide show that everyone remembers fondly, also had a 10PM curfew. Can't remember anyone complaining225xxx - 6/28/00, 10/20/01, 10/22/01, 9/11/06, 9/22/06, 9/23/06, 6/18/07, 6/26/07, 8/15/09, 6/25/10, 6/30/10, 7/4/12, 7/5/12, 7/7/12, 7/10/12, 6/26/14, 6/28/14, 7/3/18, 7/5/180

I saw Springsteen in a soccer stadium in the suburbs of Prague in 2012 and they had a 10pm curfew. He wandered out on stage at 6:30pm and said, "The city says we have to get started", did a 30 minute acoustic solo set, and then the band played for 3 hours.mrk2 said:The 2010 Wuhlheide show that everyone remembers fondly, also had a 10PM curfew. I wouldn't call it complaining. I just think it's a shame. On the one hand, having to turn off the power on the longest days of the year, when it doesn't really get dark until around 10pm. On the other hand, to know that it has to end at 10 pm and then not to get on stage earlier.mrk2 said:The 2010 Wuhlheide show that everyone remembers fondly, also had a 10PM curfew. Breaking news: Pearl Jam might play Berlin. You would think the band was from Berlin at this point.0
-
The much better breaking news: Pearl Jam will play two nights with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. Until midnight. For sure. Eventually.

Hopefully it doesn’t clash with the Euro 24 matches. Berlin hosts a quarterfinal on July 6th and the final on July 14th. Semis are in Munich and Dortmund at least0

I remember in Belfast it clashed with football. We watched in a bar attached to the venue and straight into the gig. A great day

I bet! But hotels would be ridiculously expensivelastexitlondon said:I remember in Belfast it clashed with football. We watched in a bar attached to the venue and straight into the gig. A great day0 -
It can‘t. There are no events at the same time at Olympiastadion and Waldbühne allowed. But hotel prices will be sky high during the whole time frame I guess.JPPJ84 said:Hopefully it doesn’t clash with the Euro 24 matches. Köln or Düsseldorf would be great. They did play Frankfurt last tour so did go beyond Berlin.drfox said:
Yeah was frustrating last year when they had to cut the set short. Was really hoping they would go to somewhere like Munich or Cologne for a change.
