    I enjoy the merch game but the getting in line early stuff like this doesn't seem worth it to me. I only one time, on Thursday, have not gotten everything I wanted by getting in line later and have only once, on Thursday, waited for more than a few hours. You get in line at 6 you are guaranteeing a five or six hour or longer wait. I understand wanting everything and not wanting to carry it in the show but at what point is that just way too much time spent for the return? If time is money eBay is better in that regard.
    I understand… granted I didn’t line up in the AM, but I appreciate the communal aspect to it… I met some great people from the forum this week, and it’s been awesome to put faces to the names after several years. In that regard, there’s more to it than just waiting for stuff…. But I do also get the frustration of waiting for hours and still not getting what you want. I’ve been there. 
    I get the community too. I love it. But that's a long time to wait. You do get whatever you want though.

    I liked the community part up to a point. A couple hours ok. But after that especially in the heat it's gone too far now for just stuff you will hardly ever use .

    Ha not exactly.  It's a nod to the St. Paul Saints team which was an old WHA team that played in the St. Paul Civic Center that stood in the same place Xcel is now.

    Haha, no I just look sometimes out of curiosity, but it just pisses me off so I need to stay away. I'm gonna try to get more buttons/stickers at the show tonight so I can trade with other fans for different years/shows.

    The stickers are overlooked but may be the most amazing thing about the merch nonsense. They are typically really easy to get at the shows but are marked up so much. I think it is overlooking because they are still "inexpensive" but if the ball was upcharged 15 x it would be more than $1,000 and even that isn't happening.

    I do think they come down in price, I've only bought stickers for shows before I didn't get stickers, and never thought they were crazy, but the early markups are insane. They don't cost anything to ship either.

    What percentage of people buying the basketball will actually use it? I bet 1%-2% use it as an actual basketball, 5-10% display it somewhere at home, and the remainder never use it for anything other than trade bait/resale.
