I was so thrilled to see Insignificance back in a setlist. I've been hoping for that for years now.0

I had an amazing time. “Unplugged” Black was awesome! I had rail right in front of Jeff and I can’t add much more to what has already been said. Go is one one my favorites so I was thrilled to hear that one. MYM was really high energy. Got a few Mike picks. Ready to do it all again Saturday. Still hoping for Undone though.0

What a start to the tour! I was rail right between Mike and Jeff and the energy of the crowd in the pit was incredible! And Mike was mesmerizing as always. When they played the first few notes of indifference I got chills- what an incredible opener! Other highlights for me were sometimes, that incredible sit-down version of black, the crowd losing its collective mind when the band transitioned into GTF, the band finally bringing insignificance and rocking the hell out of it, getting to hear LBC for the first time in 17 years, and wildflowers. Also, another great moment was helping to hand the birthday boy’s jacket to Ed during DOTC. I also got picks from Mike and Jeff. And it was great getting to meet some of you from the forum and finally getting to put faces to names!

As others have echoed, Insignificance was a highlight. That with LBC and Crazy Mary were big ones for me. They crushed those. Mike was an animal all night, especially Black, Evenflow, and Mary. Crowd energy felt great throughout the show. Looking forward to being closer on Saturday and hearing some of the unplayed hits. Maybe some Grievance which was soundchecked??
Security was tight in the seated areas if you were close to them, just a heads up for those looking to partake in extracurriculars.Mansfield 6/30/08 - Wrigley Field 7/14/13 - Worcester I 10/15/13 - Global Citizen 9/26/15 - MSG II 5/2/16 - Fenway I 8/5/16 - Fenway II 8/7/16 - Fenway II 9/4/18 - LA I 5/6/22 - LA II 5/7/22 - MSG 9/11/22 - Nashville 9/16/22 - St. Paul I and II 8/31/23-9/2/23 - Napa 5/25/24 - MSG I 9/3/24 - MSG II 9/4/24 - Hollywood FL I 4/24/25 - Hollywood FL II 4/26/250 -
Overall, in the moment the setlist didn't blow me away. But it was still a fun show and then it is fun to come back and sort of go through it all and see what you think. How many bands do you still think about the set that long after the show?
Anyway, opening with Indifference was just a wow. I caught that one right away, which isn't hard for most of us, but still. When I was in OKC I talked with a few people and one really wanted to hear Indifference and the other Yellow Ledbetter. I was kind of like, well, they are both closers so you won't both get them. And then at a show like this, they bookended them. It is the little things like that that make it worth it to keep coming back to see what they will do.
I also didn't realize in the moment they didn't do anything from Vitalogy. That is almost nuts to me.
My 15th show and I got two new ones, Sometimes and Insignificance. Also funny enough that even though I'm Open has only been played 17 times according to livefootsteps, it is the second time I've seen it. So crazy that kind of thing happens.
I personally don't need Buckle Up anymore, and I like Seven O'Clock a lot but get the complaints on it live, but DOTC and Super Wolf are pretty cool live. I also still dig Mind Your Manners.
Always a good night with Crazy Mary too.
Good show. Can't wait to see what they bring out tomorrow.Post edited by RedMosquitoSmile28 on0 -

Good show. Had potential to be great but I personally didn’t feel like it flowed like it could have. I felt like every time the place was about to erupt they brought it back down. Buckle Up was a total head scratcher to me. The crowd would’ve gone nuts if they played something else. Weird choice in the two slot for the first show of the tour. The crowd was awesome and into the entire show. Sound was great. The band was tight and also sounded great. Insignificance, Go, Wildflowers, MYM were absolutely the highlights for me. Indifference as opener was really cool but again was let down with Buckle Up next.Looking forward to Saturday. Hoping they change up the set quite a bit. Sooooooo many great songs they could blow the roof off with. (Please give us some Grievance, Tremor Christ, Leash, World Wide Suicide, Habit or Brain of J etc)Post edited by Abe Froman on0
