Has this been confirmed other than the podcast yet? I haven't seen it anywhere other than there and the Soundgarden reddit thread. Hoping it's legit

It is, the band was going to finish recording their parts around the vocal takes Chris did. Ownership of the vocal recordings was the issue of the lawsuit it seems. Started as the songs altogether but was later modified to just the vocals. There's 7 tracks, some with co-writing credits to other band members. The registered songs expected to be included are

    “Road Less Traveled” (Cornell/Cameron)
    “Orphans” (Cornell/Cameron)
    “At Ophians Door” (Cornell/Cameron)
    “Cancer” (Cornell)
    “Ahead Of The Dog” (Cornell/Thayil)
    “Merrmas” (Cornell/Shepherd)
    “Stone Age Mind” (Cornell)

These kinds of things always give me weird feelings.

Just like any albums post death. Leonard Cohen etc.

Chris Cornell should have the right to approve this going out. In a way.

I guess, on the flipside, posthumously releasing material is pretty common.  As a fan I like it when estates go into the archive and put out unreleased stuff.

I wonder if this means now that there's some agreement between musicians and the widow, if stuff like the ToTD reunion shows can get released?

so glad I did a bunch of Soundgarden/Cornell shows .....including a bunch of rail shows, Lolla/NYC/Beacon Theatre

What a powerful band.....just incredible. I heard Chris had passed early that morning, i always have local rock station on in the background of my living room.....couldnt believe it, unreal

I am thankful I flew to LA to see Temple of the Dog at the Forum instead of waiting & hoping they'd schedule more dates and come to Texas. Chris was dead 6 months later.

That is awesome. I have only seen Soundgarden once, Audioslave once, and Temple of the dog once. But very grateful for those three shows.

saw the temple msg show, night before the 2016 election....that was awesome. Was lucky enough to see him with the boys @ PJ20, LA Gibson show in 2009, jerry Cantrell too at one of the shows.....crazy good

For Lolla...I remember it being so fucking Hot, we waited for the rail all day...security super nice giving us water. Had to endure X Japan and such to see the curtains open with their logo and just that explosion to happen. Top notch

Always thankful to have seen him solo (songs from all aspects of his career!), TOTD, and seeing SG in Atlanta. Two weeks later he passed. 😞

Aside from Pearl Jam and The Daylgo Abortions (Canadian Punk Band) I don't think I'd seen any artists much as I saw Cornell.  5 soundgarden shows, 2 solo shows (electric), 4 solo shows (acoustic), Audioslave at lolla 2003, ToTD in Seattle.

He was also the only one from the big 90's bands to play in the city I live in (multiple times).   Was super happy I saw an acoustic show and a ToTD the year before he passed.

Really looking for to new material.

Wait, I saw Cornell solo also - at Konserthuset in Stockholm

Hey now. I know DGA. My friend had their record. Only song I remember is the one with punk rock cowbell. Great stuff.
I did see soundgarden twice early, louder than love tour with FNM opening for VoiVod...dude. Told it before, but topless CC was on the rafters climbing the blood soaked (gwar show evidence) ceiling and kicked it in above my head with his dr. Martins.

    Pure rock hotness

Saw Cornell solo acoustic twice. Those shows were magical, especially the one where he sang When I'm Down with the original piano part pressed to vinyl.
