Ian Thornley would be a perfect fit.hauntingfamiliar said:So is Matt Cameron re-joining Soundgarden and making the unreleased tracks? Would they ever do it with a new singer? Like that'd be insane. The only 5 octive voice comparable to Cornell's is Mariah Carey. Jeez lol... so funny to think about but she could actually nail it!!!! Would be an interesting mash up. Lol. She wore flannel and jeans shorts in the 90s. 🤣😆😘

I’d love to see him throw on a pair of headphones and give us a raw vocal take of Birth Ritual. I think it would shock the world.HughFreakingDillon said:

I was lucky enough to meet Kim back in 2018 when MC5 played in Boston for their 50 anniversary, MC50 tour. He one of the nicest, coolest dudes I've ever met. I'm the son of immigrants as well, really looking forward to his book.Tweeter Center - Aug 29, 2000;Tweeter Center - Aug 30, 2000;Allstate Arena - Oct 09, 2000;Pepsi Arena - Apr 29, 2003;Bryce-Jordan Center - May 03, 2003;Bell Center - Jun 29, 2003;Tweeter Center - Jul 02, 2003;Tweeter Center - Jul 03, 2003;Tweeter Center - Jul 11, 2003;Tweeter Center at the Waterfront - Jul 05, 2003;Tweeter Center at the Waterfront - Jul 06, 2003;Madison Square Garden - Jul 08, 2003;Madison Square Garden - Jul 09, 2003;TD Banknorth Garden - May 24, 2006;TD Banknorth Garden - May 25, 2006;Fleet Center - Sept 28, 2004;Fleet Center - Sept 29, 2004;Pepsi Arena - May 12, 2006 New England Dodge Music Arena - May 13, 2006;Grant Park - Aug 05, 2007;Bonnaroo - Jun 14, 2008;Dodge Music Center - Jun 27, 2008;Tweeter Center - Jun 28, 2008;Tweeter Center - Jun 30, 2008; XL Arena - May 15, 2010;TD Garden - May 17, 2010;Alpine Valley Music Theatre - Sept 03, 2011;Alpine Valley Music Theatre - Sep 04, 2011 Corel Centre - Sep 16, 2005;Colisee Pepsi Arena - Sep 20, 2005; Wrigley Field - July 19, 2013; DCU Center - Oct 15, 2013; DCU Center - Oct 16, 2013; Fenway Park - August 5, 2016; Fenway Park - August 7, 2016; NOS Alive Festival - July 14, 2018; Boston - September 02, 2018; Boston - September 04, 2018; Boston - September 15, 2024; Boston - September 17, 2024

Not sure if anyone else follows Levi from Blackbelt on fb but he had some upcoming vinyl releases he cut and the last was a test pressing Cornell vinyl. I think he was trying to hide the label but certainly looks to be Carry On9/1/00, 4/28/03, 7/5/03, 7/6/03, 7/12/03, 10/1/04, 9/28/05, 5/27/06, 5/28/06, 6/1/06, 6/27/08, 6/30/08, 8/7/08 (EV), 6/12/09 (EV), 10/27/09, 10/28/09,10/30/09, 10/31/09, 5/21/10, 6/15/11 (EV), 9/2/12, 7/19/13, 10/21/13, 10/22/13, 10/27/13, 4/28/16, 4/29/16, 8/7/16, 11/4/16 (TOTD), 8/18/18, 8/20/18, 9/24/21 (EV&Earthlings), 9/26/21, 9/11/2022, 9/14/2022, 9/7/2024, 9/9/2024, 9/12/2024, 5/16/2025, 5/18/20250

I think it's going to be the next IVC (Interscope Vinyl of the Month thing). Definitely going to buy it.0 -
it's really weird how, besides Euphoria Mourning, I never really cared for CC's solo stuff. I mean, he wrote all of TOTD, and a good chunk of SG's stuff, but when it's just him...meh. Which is weird cuz live solo he was a BEAST. I loved his live release, but his studio solo stuff falls a bit flat for me. I really wish it didn't. God knows I've tried.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0

I quite like the last one Higher Truth. I found it hard to get into, because I think it's best solo work was just him and an acoustic guitar, but when he recorded albums he'd put in effects, other instruments and what not and it distracted a bit from the music. I guess I just really liked his acoustic years.I love higher truth though. Of the 4 solo albums, I spin it the most. I've never listened to scream more than once. I'll give Carry On a 2nd chance when the vinyl comes out. I'm not even sure I own that one on CD.0

Higher truth for me is beautiful but I don't really listen to his other solo albums.

Higher Truth is great. I saw him on that tour and he came to our symphony hall. Just him with an occasional cello. Best decision for a show I ever made. He played SG, TOTD, solo, Audioslave, and a few covers. He sounded amazing.0

I agree I saw that tour at the Albert hall. I couldn't have wished for a better venue or set list. And his solo show at the palladium in London was and still is the best gig I've ever heardCarryTheZero said:Higher Truth is great. I saw him on that tour and he came to our symphony hall. Higher Truth is definitely his best solo album. Controversial I know but I also really rate Scream. Not what a lot of the fan base wanted to hear but there’s some really good songs on the record. I just think the production puts a lot of people off. I agree the Albert Hall show was brilliant I hope the whole show gets released officially at some point and not just the track on the retrospective.0

In the spirit of the thread I listened to Carry On, which I don't think I'd put on since the year it came out. I actually liked it quite a bit. Maybe i'm sad he passed away, and appreciate spinning something I haven't listened to all that much, but it makes me even more excited for the vinyl.Maybe I'll have to give Scream another chance.0
