Heads up- now that non-members can purchase this on VMP, you can use a referral code and get $10 off. My total came to $58, no tax either which was nice. Still way overpriced, but better than the $70+ at 10C. As this is quite probably the only band I'd splurge for, I'm okay with it I guess.
You can find some referral codes here: https://www.reddit.com/r/VinylMePlease/comments/sjgpn8/referral_link_megathread_feb_2022_please_keep_all/0 -

You're right. I was feeling snarky. Pages of comments on why not to buy something has been fun to read, we need more of that.1ThoughtKnown said:

Just a style of colored vinyl. Usually you get swirls of color or wisps in the wax.0

Hot! Sadly prob wont open it. Like so many collectors of years present and past. Scored a le sealed elvis record for 49...cents. Eventually traded it in with a ton of other records for a few new diff lps.
Whatever. Will be cool to keep my other records company.

You are free to not read page after page of consumer feedback, particularly if it isn’t fun. Quite often I don’t as I’m not a big merch guy. However, I am a vinyl enthusiast and wanted the band to know that $70US for a record, whether it is coloured, is 180g, is a 2LP, or has Hummus on it or not, is pretty ridiculous especially when already having other copies. Then to flout that it’s being pressed at a new “audiophile” pressing plant and this is the first pressing from that plant is rather disingenuous, as I would have further concerns about QA on these records without any history. Sounds like this record is more in Guinea pig territory.Vitalogensia said:

What if this already overpriced record shows up warped, scuffed, etc.?Just another hassle. I’ve gone back to looking for used vinyl, digging in the bins.I would advise people to find a VG+ OG copy rather than shell out for this, but that’s just my opinion.0 -
