A couple of Chicago shows over Labor Day weekend again would be nice.   Or Northerly->Alpine

Does MSP area have an amphitheater sized venue?
Nothing I can find so far. PJNB might be closer with Somerset. My guess is the Target Center. It's operated by ASM Global, and the 2008 tour was a mix of arenas & outdoor venues.
I would love a mix of arenas and sheds!

Longest stretch of time without a Massachusetts show in the band's history. Previous long was between the Orpheum in April of 94 to Great Woods in 1998.

As much as I want a trifecta (or more) of NE shows, Boston did have the distinction of "having seen them last" in 2018 before the shit hit the fan. Part of what made Sea Hear Now so cathartic: 3 years!

    Here's what I suspect:

What WAS: A spring 2023 USA Gigaton tour and a new album some time after that, but maybe in 2023.

Well, they found that same restart button they smashed when they canceled that "2018 new album."

What is starting to seem: High gear on the new album and a late summer 2023 tour WITH new music.

It seems like it's been a hot minute since they played the USA in the summer. 2016? Maybe? Or maybe that's just because they tend to love those European festivals in June and July.

Stone's playing with Painted Shield, Matt is recording with 3rd Secret, Ed is likely involved with Ohana after playing solo...I don't know, I'm not optimistic that they are speeding along on a new album.

I am staying optimistic that the reason they have been able to offer posters signed by all the members of the band, is because all the members of the band have been in the same place at the same time. Thus, recording new music.

Yes, obviously they can sign one at a time via courier services or whatever but I am going with what I am going with.

    *cough cough*

I've given up holding my breath... lest I choke on the air.
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

I figured they were all at Jeff's house for his birthday party. Party hats, cup cakes, ice cream, Pin the Tail on Stone, a real hum dinger!

I wonder if they count DC and Baltimore as one area. If so, that would hurt even more.

    It's beyond laughable.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
  • How can they not play Boston? It doesn’t make sense. Seattle too.

13 or 15 year drought? That's nothing. Welcome to Finland - last show in 1993.

Love Boston and going to Boston shows.  But they have been hit arguably better than any city in the country the last 10 years.
