Got it confirmed yesterday via the premium sales office at Fenway that Pearl Jam is definitely not playing there in 2023. Scratch those rumors off of any lists.0 -
The most up-to-date rumors:- Fenway is NOT happening this year, but Boston has been name checked. TD Garden, or Xfinity Theatre (home of the Mansfield Experiment)??- more than one source still says Chicago (no Wrigley), and all eyes are on Northerly Island- and if you go back far enough in the thread, more than one person has heard "September" (before & after February)- Ed at Ohana? Safe bet. Whole band? Fingers crossed for that Sunday🤞- RE: the usual ACL rumor, it was popping up on StubHub searches earlier in the year, but has since disappeared. No other info.- Pearl Jam in Mexico? There was a post on NYE on Twitter that seemed to tease it...- a board member heard from sources in the touring industry that the band was in talks for ampitheatres/sheds in Aug/Sept, but nothing concrete. I made a list of corresponding venues a few posts ago.- a new board member seems to be in the know (nice handle, FaceMeltor
) has teased:
- "Chicago early September is in the works. Not Wrigley."
- "When would you expect an announcement for a tour that overlaps both seasons?" (I take this as late summer/early fall)
- "Would you like to hear about Boston in September too, or just Chicago?"
- "No to Lolla and ACL as of right now."
- "Its east to west, and Northerly too."
Also, I'm giving up on the April/May rumor. Krist posted pics of 3rd Secret rehearsing (thanks Demetrios), so unless Matt is heading straight to the PJ workspace next week, I don't think May is happening. Would love to be wrong. We'll find out on 03/21, as that seems to be the point of no return with past tour announcements for something a month & a half away.I'll be focusing on late summer/early fall on the speculation thread. Just figured I'd Cliff's Notes this stuff here beforehandPost edited by Go Animal onPJ - 09/23/98: West Palm Beach II, 08/12/00: Tampa, 04/12/03: Orlando, 04/13/03: Tampa, 06/12/08: Tampa, 06/27/08: Hartford, 09/22/09: Seattle II, 04/11/16: Tampa, 05/01 & 05/02/16: MSG I & II, 09/18/21: Sea Hear Now, 10/01 & 10/02/21: Ohana Encore I & II, 05/06 & 05/07/22: Los Angeles (Inglewood) I & II, 09/11/22: MSG, 09/16/22: Nashville, 09/02/23: St. Paul II, 09/07/23: Chicago II, 09/18 & 09/19/23: Austin I & II, 05/16 & 05/18/24: Las Vegas I & II, 08/29 & 08/31/24: Wrigley Field I & II, 09/03 & 09/04/24: MSG I & II, 09/27 & 09/29/24: Ohana Festival I & IIEV - 08/04 & 08/05/08: (Eddie solo, w/Liam Finn) NYC I & II, 11/27 & 11/28/12: (Eddie solo, w/Glen Hansard) Orlando I & II, 02/09 & 02/10/22: (Eddie & the Earthlings) Chicago I & II, 09/30/23: (Eddie & the Earthlings) Ohana Festival

I hate Great Woods (Mansfield) so much, but PJ is one of three bands that will get me there. 20th anniversary of the epic three nigth run wouldn't be too bad..."What can you expect when you're on top? You know? It's like Napoleon. When he was the king, you know, people were just constantly trying to conquer him, you know, in the Roman Empire. So, it's history repeating itself all over again."0

Great Woods sucks for quite a few reasons but it's definitely a hit of nostalgia on the rare occasion I'm there these days0

Minneapolis is now rumoured in early September. Chicago and Noblesville should be next. Northerly definitely has a hold or had a hold.
My Boston info was from awhile ago. It was either wrong or something changed when they went from two legs this year to one. No clue if it is getting a show now.
