He asked where people want to see them on this tour.  I don't think he is trying to build hype.  I also don't think he has the inside info anymore, so his post doesn't change anything from my perspective.

The venue in noblesville looks interesting. Has anyone been there?
Yes. As far as amphitheaters go, this is a good one. Really no bad place to be, including the lawn. It is “sacred” ground for deadheads and phish fans. Lots of classic shows over the decades, including PJ. It used to be surrounded by cornfields. Now it’s basically a built up suburb of Indianapolis. So, it’s lost some of that charm of being out in a cornfield, but inside the venue is solid as far as sheds go.
Deer Creek as it is commonly referred to.  Easy in and out from highway. Just over 3 hr drive from Chicago

And? Its not like you can even do anything immediate with an announcement except look for possible hotel rooms. Its not like you have to buy tickets on the drop like a Psst post.
Admittedly, I'm just super excited, and want to experience the news with like-minded people. But yes, hotels are a concern. I've booked mostly with comp certificates. And if my dates are wrong, I'll have to change them quickly, as they usually black-out comps when there are special events nearby.

Citizens Bank Park just confirmed they have no Pearl Jam concert scheduled this year. That's one theory out the window.

Agreed. It’s a feeling that can’t be matched and the hype is a huge part of it

I wouldn't mind that theory being debunked.  I always thought it would be the FU center since they just did the Pearl Jam night.  It was exhilarating taking pictures with the banner.

Based on the other rumors (no Ohio, a few shows in Texas, Chicago, nothing for New York or Boston), a Philadelphia show seems weirdly placed.

Right there with you. Especially with how much Denver has grown and changed over the years. It is not a little frontier town anymore.

I'm sure I am in the minority, but I'm looking forward to the relative surprise. I know I'll be kicking myself when hotel prices explode as we all rush to book hotels at the same time, but it's kind of fun to still have anticipation.

That said, already looking at lodging for CHI and IND.

Pearl Jam at deer creek would be cool, but as others have said, the area has changed a lot.

it was wild to camp near the corn fields for 2-3 shows in the late 90s for phish.
