I like Biden but I think Buttigieg and/or Gavin Newsom should run in 2024. I'm not impressed with Harris at all. Prior to the election I thought she was good...I just don't see it now.
And for GOP hypocrisy look no further than the hurricane response. Those fucking assholes that voted against hurricane relief when it hit blue states sure are begging for aid right now.
Regarding the recent gaffe...this one really is one of the cringy/funny gaffes and nothing to get all crazy about. But I am on record of not really being a Joe fan...and thinking his age is definitely a negative for the job as president.
I am not a big fan of the Dems for sure, but dammit they need to make sure Trump or DeSantis aren't the next president. Whatever it takes if it's against trump...
so you can hitch your wagon to the hope and prayer that things in the GOP are going to chance with a snap of fingers…or you can embrace reality and hope that the dems run someone who will beat them.I wish the GOP would drop the dumb fucks and crazy…but it doesn’t appear we are anywhere close yet.hippiemom = goodness0 -

Typical repub tactic, blame everyone else and absolve yourselves of any responsibility for the shit show of a mess we’re in, all the while refusing to offer any policy ideas for any of our challenges whilst wrapping yourselves in the flag of hypocrisy. While our current party leader is forgetting someone’s name who passed away, your party leader is making veiled threats against your party’s senate leader and disparaging his wife with racist asides. And which did you complain about?

Just wait until gas prices start soaring again. Joey pudding brain Softserve has emptied the reserves we all paid for to try to get to the midterms with lower prices to save his party’s ass. Up up and away for the house plant OTUS’s gas prices. 2023 is going to see a lot of people losing their jobs too. Gonna suck ass before things get better.I'm like an opening band for your mom.0

The party of personal responsibility will have you know it's the democrats' fault if a republican gets voted into office in 2024.0 -
Look - here's the thing... and I do not know how many times I have to say it before someone understands it.
I have been a conservative voter. Then mixed. However I haven't voted for a single conservative (city, state, national) since 2016 due to the direction of the national party and the crazy locals it brought out.
So - me pointing out I want the Dems to run someone to beat Trump or DeSantis is because I don't like the direction of the party that I already left. They need to rack up loss after loss after loss to hopefully re-shape the party....who knows if even possible. I thought part of cleaning house was ot leave the party and vote against it if you don't believe in their platform anymore?
It gets old having someone continually assume and incorrectly state that you support a certain person or party when it is not true and hasn't been the case for sometime. And then any criticism against current Dems is met with fake accusations of dismissing Trump and other's behaviors. It's just not true, it's old and it's tiresome.hippiemom = goodness0 -

I’ll say it over and over because it’s so clear to me…. Trump isn’t a Republican. I just wish more republicans saw that. It’s pretty obvious
minus gerrymandering looking at the country as a whole, democrats have carried the largest vote share in 7 of the last 8 presidential elections. The country leans left, no question. Republicans needed to bring in the crazies to boost numbers. Finding out how to deal with them is an entirely different proposition. It may be impossible. Until the traditional republicans leave and they lose numbers again they won’t be forced to rebalance the platform. Right now traditional republicans are going along. They might not like it but they arePost edited by Cropduster-80 on0 -

To me, the dementia criticism of Biden is a carry over from the 2020 election cycle, which was never a good faith criticism in the first place. Does the guy have some slip ups? Sure. Does he stutter, making him seem slower than he is? Yes, and anyone conversing in good faith will acknowledge that. He's also a good statesman, and he's handled his role pretty damn well since taking office. There's plenty he can be criticized for, but he's done ok considering the complete shit show he inherited & everything that's happened since.
& until the next election, Biden will always be compared to trump, because those were our only choices two years ago. There were literally no other options, so that comparison is fair, at least for his 1st term.
I want a younger guy in office as much as the rest of us, but like 2020, Biden might be the only guy who can beat trump again.
IDK what the answer is, but preemptively blaming democrats if trump or desantis get into office in 2024 seems pretty backwards.

It's just not true, it's old and it's tiresome.
They might not like it but they are
he just said, its not his party since 2016

You've since clarified that's not what you meant, so be it.

that’s the point though. That’s the exception not the rule. There isn’t huge numbers of traditional republicans who see that as an option.
seems to me he is a traditional republican in ideology still. And there isn’t anything wrong with that. I might not agree with a traditional republican but I can see where they are coming from. The George Conway wing gets traction from democrats not fracturing the Republican Party. He isn’t a democrat not even close. Not sure how to characterise these voters. They aren’t liberals, they aren’t really independents in the normal sense eitherPost edited by Cropduster-80 on0 -
