Fancy! Does the caviar really enhance the flavor?  I have never understood this pairing as I want to taste each delicacy on its own. Looks great though!

It was interesting. The caviar is salty with a seafood umami so it definitely paired well. I had a lot of tuna between the belly and loin, so it was nice to mix it up and experiment a bit.

Was at a golf tournament today and came in as the wife was serving this. Incredible. Chicken piccata.

Also, on the food tv front…watch “The Bear” on Hulu. I loved it

This was a 'Use a wat you have' lunch. I had some fresh mussels from the previous night, some nice cherry tomatoes and an Avocado. It made a great pasta lunch.

Nice combo. I'd hit it with some hot pepper flakes. Very nice.

Puerto Rico was always a very pleasant time.

    It has been decades!

Sounds like it’s still an island of smiles, though.

So my fish guy started getting live eels from some Lough in the North. After some research, (mainly a bunch of YouTube videos on Japanese eel masters), I decided to go for it. I went and picked up some bricks to try and turn my BBQ into something that resembles a Hibachi. So here's my first attempt at Unagi Don.
